I applied to this community. I was denied residency. When filing out the application on line it stated that the administrative fee may or may not be refundable. It did state that the application fee is non refundable. I do understand that when denied they do keep the $50 application fee. However, the $150 administrative fee is usually to type the lease and do all paperwork needed once approved. I have requested the $150 be refunded and they have told me that it is non refundable. This is not common practice in the apartment industry to lose $200 when filling out an application for residency if denied.Product_Or_Service: appliied for an apartmentDesired SettlementI would like my $150 administrative fee refunded. I am in agreement with losing the $50 application fee. The $150 should be non refundable if approved to do the necessary paperwork, etc associated with the approved applicant. She requested that we take a deeper look and see if we could approve her. To do so we request additional documentation to support her request for approval. During the review time, she call and canceled her application. Once an application is cancel, none of the funds are refundable. However, [redacted] was refunded her $150 administration fee. Consumer Response I did give them all information that was requested which was another copy of my pay stubs as they lost the first set. As well as a copy of my bankruptcy paperwork showing debtor's. I then had a tragedy happen on 4/22/15. [redacted] On 4/25/15 I was contacted and told I was not approved. I requested my $150 to be refunded and was told it was non-refundable. I was also given a denial letter by way of email from Mr. [redacted]. Hence the complaint to the Revdex.com. You would think after all that occurred some compassion would of been shown. [redacted] the manager is the most un-professional, rudest manager I have ever come into contact with. I appreciate the return of my $150 but to date I have not received a check. [redacted] Final Business Response [redacted] was informed that she would be refunded her admin. fee of $150. Her refund was processed and the check date 6/09/2015 was mailed out to her on 6/10/2015. It is normally a 30 day turn around on refunds; however, we were able to process this sooner to ensure it was returned to her.
