Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:American Pest ControlIt is absolutely ridiculous that in 2017, the people at this business lack use of technology and proper record keeping, it has been the same from initial contact with these people They are absolutely incompetent and either so disorganized and chaotic or they simply just not tell the truth intentionally. It is also embarrassing that in 2017, these people are speaking and concerned about current last name, my husband's last name or my maiden nameMy current marital status is none of Smerican Pest Control's business nor does it have anything to do with the one year fee for service and results (charged upfront without permission and they can't provide such proof) They have failed to deliver. It was me who hired them.I my credit card provided and charged. My phone number. My email address. And obviously have been inside the house. So who my husband is, or his name has nothing to do with this complaint and let me remind you of your sexist response and it is not 1954!I am legally the owner of the property as well and I am the one who hired you and only person in communication with you besides the temporary renters for the actual service appt.I am an individual with meticulous record keepingI have records, phone, audio, email, etcof every interaction with this business but from the reply to my complaint of service, lack of, you would think they have never spoken to meThey claim they went to the address to verifySo have they NOT serviced *** *** *** for mice problem?I contacted this business for mice problem my temporary renters were suddenly havingI spoke with the owner of APC while stationed in Seattle, WA explaining the situation of mice, something for years in my home at *** *** *** *** WDC never experienced Spoke with him on day of scheduled visit twiceOnce at a.mWhile he was inside the house assessing, then a couple hours later on his mobile to get further information privately on the conditions.I agreed to treatment and serviceI did not agree to all future appts paid upfront but I let it go as he assured me he has decades of experience with results. The next couple of appts with the office was chaotic, disorganized and they couldn't find address, phone number or know anythingTwice they called in the morning to come out for service the same day, as they were "in the area" she would sayI would once again explain, people have jobs and need notice and I would need to check and see when and if my renters were home that day otherwise give them notice by law I finally after chaotic phone calls from this business decided best they also had my renters phone number so they can directly communicate and set up an apptImwas clear with them my dissatisfaction with their unorganized lack of use of technology or some sort of a system of their clientsThey could barely find me or my phone number or keep, anything straight. This business is lying again when they say March first communicationAs they are about their phones stating they were closed. This business does the same thing repeatedly and has from the beginningClaims they reserarched this phone and that phone and found no recordI voiced my complaint to them when they finally called months laterThen two different individuals emailed me and claimed the usual tactic of no messagesNot once on the two emails or the phone call (recorded on iPhone) did they say they were shut down Dec to Jan, periodNot once! Nor on an outgoing message on the business main line or MrW***'s cell phone.I called them immediately in Dec 2016, including voice mail on owner's cell phone, (yes, I have all records if they would like to drag this into a lefpgal battle) that the mice problem is worstThese calls went thru mid January where Imhad no choice but to, hire another companyThey came out the next dayThe genteel an from this other company was all too familiar with American Pest Control and told me he has many of their past customers with exact same complaintThey take your moneyThey provide store bought items like mouse traps, they are very disorganized and run their business few decades behind in the times.A mice problem or pests in general is not something that can be ignored for weeks and monthsAPC takes your money but not only do they not deliver on service, but they achieved no results as he claimed and guaranteed with decades of experienceThis business not once ever apologized for their outdated, disorganized record keeping or lack,of service and deliveryBut they clearly are stuck in decades past obsessing over a woman's marital status and current last name.I have been more than fair and patient with the, I asked for a half refund which by phone, and two individual emails just ignored and never responded to my request.Perhaps they would rather have their business and tactics investigated via public media or the attorney general's office I have had to waste a lot of my time on these people with no resultsI had to hire another company which by the way took ONE service to almost eradicate the problem but not until,Imhad further damage in the kitchen from the mice problem that went on for months without APC delivering. This business is unethical and should be investigated.Regards,

We at American Pest Control regret that this customer is unsatisfied with our serviceThis particular pest program has an initial treatment with quarterly services that follow making the yearEach service was confirmed and signed forWe are more than willing to refund the credit left on the account for that last service that has not be performed. Respectfully, American Pest Control

I am rejecting the response of the Business because it is totally based on falsehoods. Firstly when I contacted them and when the inspector came to the property, I mentioned that I had a mice and roach issue. She assured me that these items were covered and they would handle it. She even showed me the contract that said the roaches were covered. I did not know that there were different kinds of roaches. It was later that the company told me that German roaches were not covered. This is a deliberate attempt to mislead the common customer who does not know the technical differences of roaches. They should have explained this to me at that time. Later I was told that I would need to pay extra if I needed them to treat for German roaches. This is a bait and switch tactic. Furthermore, they did not wait for me to tell them when they should come for the 2nd visit, but just came and left me a note that they had worked on the outside. My problem is on the inside. The company is rude and before I could explain THEY decided to terminate the contract and send a small balance back. I did not mention the police as they state falsely. I did however, mention that I would use the full extent of protection allowed to a consumer, such as the Revdex.com. This company scams customers who do not have a in-depth knowledge of household pests. They should have addressed my issues from inside the house. My pest problems still persist and I am almost $400 poorer. This is not how a business should be conducted.

Upon receipt of the Revdex.com complaint, we attempted to look up both the address and the name on the letter; but had no match.  With further research we found [redacted] under [redacted].  APC was called on 4/19 to go to that property by [redacted], presumably the wife. We were told at...

that time that all interactions with the tenant had to be through her.   The phone number and email provided belong to [redacted] assumed to be [redacted].  This letter is from [redacted].  A credit card was provided by her with a zip code in Seattle Washington.  The contract, work order, and receipt for for the year were emailed; without response regarding the amount charged. We understood that all contacts should be though the owner.   When the first follow up service became due we called the landlord; she was angry that we had not contacted the tenant.  We explained our actions based on her instructions.  All subsequent service were scheduled with the tenant and signed for by her.  No call were received between services.  The last service performed was 12-6-2016, signed for by the tenant,  [redacted].APC was closed for the holiday between December 20th and January 3rd, 2017. Our phones, our website and all of our business emails contain messages to that effect.  It is possible that something fell through the cracks then but Ms. [redacted] indicated calling for a period of 6 weeks. Our first indication of something wrong was March 7th when the owner reported that now they were living in the home.  Also that she had made multiple calls to our company about mice and having spoken to the owner.   When I asked about the dates and/or phone numbers used, she was not forthcoming.  I had since spoken with Doug W[redacted] and searched his phone without result.  We attempted to schedule a service at that time and by email 3/10.   I was not aware until the email response to our coordinator she did not wish to schedule service at all but wanted a refund.  We were not aware that there was question about the payment or contract until the Revdex.com letter.   Our email exchanges are enclosed as well as copy of all documents relevant to the account.American Pest Control would be happy to refund half the prepaid service if **. [redacted] will provide the cell phone records and recorded messages she stated she has.

originally (no mention of roaches) and signed up with us using a coupon and getting a 10% discount for paying for a year of service coverage. The total sum she paid to this company is $387.00. Her contract signed by our representative and herself clearly defines what pest are covered which did not include german roaches.   Also neither the inspector nor subsequent technicians saw an evidence or roaches. She did not speak with APC about roaches until she called to complain and get her money reimbursed.  Her statement that we refused to service her or try to resolve her problem ls not valid.   We attempted diligently to set up an appointment to come back out to her home at no additional cost to inspect for her possible new pest and treat if necessary.   However, it was an extremely difficult conversation and confrontational on her part.   She refused to listen to anything and negated any conversation regarding the contractual agreement.   She stated that if APC did not refund all of her money she would contact the authorities, file a police report and contact the Revdex.com and I quote " you do what you have to and I will do what I have to ". After being threatened and having no ability to conduct a real conversation; I told her that we seemed to be at an in-pass and that I would like to email or send a letter explaining all we spoke of and to try again at a less heated moment to resolve her pest issue by letting us treat. She refused. Informing me that she wanted nothing but her money.  I informed her that I would send her a refund minus the services we provided and she signed for.   Prior to our conversation she  disputed the charge through her credit card company.  Once  documentation was provided to the credit card company,  they denied her claim. The true amount in question is $105.00 which is contractually owed.   We very much regret her dissatisfaction with our company but it was very difficult to negotiate when this client refused to accept the contract as the point on which any agreement was passed.
