My personal account was hacked. There were charges on there that I didn't authorize and it caused me to receive overdraft fees. The companies refunded the money back to me. The bank will not refund the overdraft fees. I have $111 in overdraft fees. The bank is refusing to refund it. Now the teller has closed my account.
We have researched this complaint. We have found the overdraft charges to be legitimate. Charges were assessed due to a negative balance in the account at the time transactions presented for posting. There was initial information that the customer's account was hacked and transactions were not authorized, however upon further discussion with the customer it was determined that the customer did indeed participate in the charges. The merchants have provided refunds due to customer's request to cancel services, however the original transactions also remain on the account. The referenced account is currently at a zero balance and is closed.
