I signed up for the Vet Assisting program and was very excited to startI was told we would begin the course with a skills refresh in subjects such as math, professionalism, and computer programsHaving done that, we would begin the actual Vet Assisting trainingWhen we started, we were thrown in the middle of the course with other students already there and also no veterinary knowledgeWe were expected to participate and being graded on itThe course is mainly handouts and home studyWe're handed worksheets and rarely go over the right answersWe are expected to figure everything out on our own and then be tested on itAfter expressing concerns on the program, we were told they had entered us almost at the end of the course, and we would start from there and finish with the introductory classes, such as Terminology, that were meant as the first module to be able to understand the subjectsWhen we voiced our confusion as to why they decided that, they responded by saying that our test scores from the previous classes ( which were Math, Professionalism, and Microsoft) had lead them to believe that we could skip all the important introductory classes and be fine with figuring our way through the courseAs if that wasn't enough, we were given a "teacher" that couldn't answer the basic skeletal queations, stop her phone from ringing, and called students "losers"The other two teachers were great and knowledgeableHowever, the other "teacher" was not helpful at all, and it was shocking when I heard from others that she had only been appointed as a last minute choice because the main teacher had been moved to teaching the Vet Technicians programA student tried to file a complaint, followed by many othersA list of complaints had been submitted to the school and signed by those who complainedThe complaint was followed by the director of the program staying after class with whom ever wanted to talkAbout a week later, during a success rally, they informed us that the complaint would be addressed later in classWhen we went on break, some papers were places on a table followed by the teacher saying that that was the answer and any could grab one if they wantedThose papers were copies of the school's response to the complaintIt was directed to the students who signed the complaint and made multiple copies for everyone in class to see, therefore exposing the names of the individuals that voiced their concerns without the students being present in the roomIn conclusion, I have nothing bad to say about the refresh course and don't know anything about their other programs, but if you're serious about becoming a Vet Assistant or maybe Vet Technician, I would not recommend this schoolIt's $15,of your money for what can be considered homeschool

I signed up for the Vet Assisting program and was very excited to start. I was told we would begin the course with a skills refresh in subjects such as math, professionalism, and computer programs. Having done that, we would begin the actual Vet Assisting training. When we started, we were thrown in the middle of the course with other students already there and also no veterinary knowledge. We were expected to participate and being graded on it. The course is mainly handouts and home study. We're handed worksheets and rarely go over the right answers. We are expected to figure everything out on our own and then be tested on it. After expressing concerns on the program, we were told they had entered us almost at the end of the course, and we would start from there and finish with the introductory classes, such as Terminology, that were meant as the first module to be able to understand the subjects. When we voiced our confusion as to why they decided that, they responded by saying that our test scores from the previous classes ( which were Math, Professionalism, and Microsoft) had lead them to believe that we could skip all the important introductory classes and be fine with figuring our way through the course. As if that wasn't enough, we were given a "teacher" that couldn't answer the basic skeletal queations, stop her phone from ringing, and called students "losers". The other two teachers were great and knowledgeable. However, the other "teacher" was not helpful at all, and it was shocking when I heard from others that she had only been appointed as a last minute choice because the main teacher had been moved to teaching the Vet Technicians program. A student tried to file a complaint, followed by many others. A list of complaints had been submitted to the school and signed by those who complained. The complaint was followed by the director of the program staying after class with whom ever wanted to talk. About a week later, during a success rally, they informed us that the complaint would be addressed later in class. When we went on break, some papers were places on a table followed by the teacher saying that that was the answer and any could grab one if they wanted. Those papers were copies of the school's response to the complaint. It was directed to the students who signed the complaint and made multiple copies for everyone in class to see, therefore exposing the names of the individuals that voiced their concerns without the students being present in the room. In conclusion, I have nothing bad to say about the refresh course and don't know anything about their other programs, but if you're serious about becoming a Vet Assistant or maybe Vet Technician, I would not recommend this school. It's $15,000 of your money for what can be considered homeschool.
