The three ladies at Structural Solutions are absolutely phenomenal at keeping you out of contact with anyone that can answer a single question about your projectNo one knows anything and the people they send out to try to sell you additional items are always out of town, sick or busyUnless you want to purchase more services don't expect a call back or follow upI purchased a Lifetime Transferable Warranty from Structural Solutions when I closed on my home in Madison, MSI had no choice in this because they had done all the work for the previous homeownerI asked them to come out and make some adjustments but they wanted to sell me 19K in additional pilingsInitially it took phone calls and a personal visit to their office to get on the scheduleThey sent two men out with no explanation as to what they were doing or whyI asked them specific questions and the response was "I don't knowI just do what I am told to do." The two men left without letting me know what had been doneIt has been over three months and my issues with them are still not resolvedThe worst customer service I have ever experiencedI can't believe they are still in businessI met with the owner after an exhaustive month e-mail fiasco strategically designed to drag the process out as long as possibleI would suggest that you avoid doing business with this company

Dear Ms. Clopton,

In response to the issues stated by the customer, we would refer them to Paragraph #8 on the customer Agreement, which states that damage to the roofing and vinyl products is a possibility.  The sound of wood popping inside the house as well as tile...

popping loose is not uncommon during and after the leveling process and again we would refer the customer to paragraph #8.

Each time we were contacted by the customers we sent out a representative from our company to check the elevations and to date all elevations still remain within excepted tolerances.

During my visit to the home on 09/27/2013, I explained to the customers that we were observing differential movement in the structure. Differential foundation movement is common in this area of Central Mississippi due to the presence of expansive clay soils which swell when exposed to water and can cause heaving in the structure. I was informed by the customers that they had experienced water leaks under the slab and they had re-routed portions of their plumbing system around the house. I asked if the broken drain under the slab had been capped off to prevent further leakage under the slab and suggested that they have a plumber to check this out. I believe this could still be causing some of the differential movement in the structure. Also during my visit I recommended gutters and water control around the structure to minimize the differential movement. In my recent conversation with the customer she told me that a plumber has not been out since my visit to the home but they have installed the gutters and are in the process of addressing the water control issues around the structure.

The sagging mentioned by the customer on her front soffit, where the gutters were installed, is not due to over-lifting of the structure, but due to the construction of the soffit itself.

In closing I would add that we did contact the customer on 03/27/2014 and again attempted to explain that the issues with the home were the result of differential movement caused by water and not settlement or over-lifting. We hope this will resolve any concerns that the customers have with our company. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
