Central Coast NP/PA Association

Review: I am a nurse practitioner who had been directed to join the Central Coast NP/PA organization as a way to network in the area. In 2011, I sent the organization the requisite $35.00 annual dues. I tried multiple times to obtain some additional information or to receive notifications of meetings but no one ever replied to my voicemails although my check was cashed.I recently moved permanently to Morro Bay and was once again recommended to join this organization by a professional colleague. This year I paid $50.00 and sent it to the address I listed (which is on their internet site). After a month of not receiving any news I called the number listed on the site (###-###-####). I finally received a call back from Ms. Susan Erb who stated that she did not think the organization existed anymore. She gave me the names and telephone numbers of two other nurse practitioners who had been active in the group but neither have responded to my phone calls. I have now lost another $50.00 without knowing where this money is going. This is a bogus organization that is still listed as a "real" organization on the Internet and is stealing people's money. I am outraged that you would allow such a business to continue to advertise and to take money without delivering a service. I would also like to know who is cashing these checks so that I can get my money back.Thank you.Desired Settlement: Refund of $85.00 that I paid to this organization since 2011 and action taken so that this site is taken off the Internet so that other unsuspecting nurse practitioners or physician assistants are not also induced to send them money.CENTRAL COAST NURSE PRACTIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT ASSOCIATION
