Mr [redacted] contacted our office on 8/9/14 and spoke with our technician, [redacted]. Mark's understanding was that Mr [redacted] wanted to skip the fall service for 2014. The fall treatment was skipped per the customer's request.

The complaint was referred to our lawn care service manager, [redacted] who spoke with Mr [redacted] on 4/23/15 (the customer was out of state between the time complaint was placed with Revdex.com until last week) and have we have reached an agreement with the customer.
Our original quoted application...

price on 3/10/15 was based on a miscalculated area (40,000 square feet) the property is actually 110,000 square feet. Our application prices are based on square footage therefore the larger the property, the higher the cost per treatment application. In this situation, the cost of materials and labor which will be applied to the lawn is higher than the original price quoted.

Bob explained the discrepancy to Mr [redacted] and agreed to honor the original quote for the 2015 season but the price will be re-negotiated in 2016. The lawn is scheduled to be treated this week. Our understanding is the customer is happy with the resolution and has indicated he will refer us to other customers.

Review: I emailed the company asking for a quote and I ended up choosing not to work with them and was looking at using [redacted]. CT Lawncare came to my house and applied fertilizer anyway and billed me. When I emailed them that I never wanted their service they said, don't use [redacted] stick with us to which I asked them to take back their bill. Since then they refuse to reply to my emails of voicemails and send me past due notices. They replied very promptly to all my communications when they were trying to sell me but are now avoiding me.Desired Settlement: I want the bill for the service I never signed up for taken down and stop sending me past due notices.

Review: I entered into a lawn care agreement with Central Conn Lawn Service last year on 4/3/2013. I instructed them to contact me prior to each application. For the most part, this was honored last year. I purchased an entire lawn application from [redacted] on 4/17/2014 and applied the first application of fertilizer on 4/27/2014. Two days later, Central Conn Lawn Service put another application on my lawn. They stated that they called me; however if they did, they did not leave a message with me. In addition, for a company that applies fertilizer for a living, you would think that seeing pellets in the grass and driveway would be an indicator not to apply another application without calling. I contacted them by phone to discuss this on approximately 4/30/2014 and they basically stated that payment was due as I had not called them ahead of time to cancel service. I have received a second bill for $93.59 today which is now scheduled to be paid via bank bill pay on 6/19/2014. I request the Revdex.com help me with recovering this amount paid.Desired Settlement: Full return of payment for $93.59.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Review: In 2014 I was trying out Central Connecticut Lawn Service. I did not sign a contract. They were going to use five treatments on the lawn. After the second visit I called on August 8, 2014, at 3:49 pm, and left a message to cancel the remaining treatments. I called again on the same day, 13 minutes after the first call,l because I wanted to talk to an actual person--[redacted] (identified in next section) answered. I told him I was cancelling further treatments and did not want to do any more business with the company. He asked if there was a problem. I replied there was--the lawn looked worse than it did before they started treatments. They did not provide any more treatments.

Then they show up on May 8, 2015, and treated the lawn with fertilizer and crabgrass killer, charging me $70.19. Their bill states that " ...for a change of service please call our office." I did that on August 8, 2014, when I severed my relationship with the company.Desired Settlement: Dismissal of the charge for May 8, 2015.

No further contact with me.

Response:

I have noticed in another settlement, as in this settlement, that Central Connecticut Lawn Care tries to cast the complainant in a bad light. The fact remains that I called them on 8/8/14 and made it clear that I was canceling services forever. Calling them, per instructions on their own billing statements, is a way they accept changes in service. They cannot deny that. I just did not realize they should really ask for written cancellation of a noncontract arrangement.

Saying I called and screamed at their employee and was rude to the employee is simply character assassination. The bill has been rescinded and they will have no further contact with me. That I will no longer have contact with these types of business people is acceptable to me.

Review: I was quoted a price in writing on 3/9/2015 of 150.00 per application, I was sent conformation via e-mail and usps received a call on 4/10/2015 from a very rude and unprofessional person named [redacted] , I was told the new price would be 390.00 they will not honor their original contract of 150.00 per application. I believe this is a very dishonest way of doing business.Desired Settlement: to honor written contract estiment
