Central Delaware Training Academy, Inc.

Review: I took a defensive driving class from [redacted] @Central Delaware Training Academy on December 14, 2013. I completed the class on same day. Usually at these classes you walk away with a certificate stating the completion of said class after the class is over. My class was told this was their last class to be given and the lady that usually prepares the certificates was not there. We were told we could come back on the following Monday and pick up the certificate. I work in another town and could not make it to pick up the certificate and was told it would be mailed out that day. What my complaint is, is that I never received the certificate. I have gone up to David Stanley's business (where the class was given) and the doors are locked. I have e-mailed him several times with no response. I called the phone number and it has been disconnected. I did contact the Insurance Commissioner's office with no help from them either. They can't believe that David Stanley just closed up shop without contacting their office.Desired Settlement: I paid $35.00 for this class. [redacted] did not hold up his part of the agreement. Which was a certificate stating that I had completed a 6 hour defensive driving class.

I ended up taking another class on January 11, 2014 and received my certificate before leaving the class (which is what I was told would happen at [redacted] class when I signed up for the class).

My desired outcome is that [redacted] should not be able to take customer's monies and advertise these classes at another location anytime in the future.
