This business was hire to replace our roof in August 2016 per our insurance. We are now selling our house and a home inspector came out indicating that our shingles were not laid right and are peeling back. I contacted the business and the owner sent his son out to rectify the problem and 2 days later the potential buyers called a roofing inspector and he also indicated that the roof needs to be replaced. The owner refused to rectify the issue with the roof.

Contractor installed back half of roof in August '16. Shingles did not seal properly. Contractor has been in contact with homeowner along with wholesaler. Wholesaler is sending out a representative from shingle manufacturer. We are currently waiting on the manufacturer claim to be processed.

In 2012 I hired Central Development to place a new roof on my home. I spoke with the owner *** and ***. A few months later the roof leaked damaging the roof and walls in the living room and bedroom. I took several calls to finally get *** to return to my home to assess the problem and get the repairs done. On April 13, 2018 the roof started to leak again. I've called and left several messages informing *** of the leak. I spoke with allen on several occasions and he informed me that *** received the messages, but no one has called, contacted me, or came to my house to assess the problem.

Roof was installed as customer stated 9/7/2012. House was built in 1993 with the installation of 3 skylights. (Reference skylights 25 year old). Leak occurred as she mentioned on 4/13/18 Friday, 4/14/18 Saturday, 4/19/18 Thursday. All within 1 week and 2 calls made on the weekend at this particular time I (***) was in hospital, *** (son) was on 1 week vacation. We have learned not to inform people we are out of town, security purposes, have been vandalized in past. I was released from hospital Monday, 4/20/18 and came back from vacation 4/23/18.

We received phone call on 4/24/18 at 9:30 Tuesday morning on my cell phone. My son was also contacted on his cell phone Tuesday morning. I immediately called *** back. I explained to her that I was in the hospital she seemed to understand and explained her situation about a leak in her living room. My son *** responded within the hour. Once again I do not understand why she would not call the cell phone to begin with. These are numbers we give to all our customers, direct line. Once *** got up on the roof, he found the source of the leak. Screws had backed out of the 2 skylights. Once again 25 years old. Leak had nothing to do with the roof. We have pictures. We screwed in the screws as a service call, explained to her skylights needed to be replaced, caulked and tightened screws only to find out she had turned us into the Revdex.com. Totally absurd. After talking to her, she mentioned she would remove the complaint after she had time to check some things out. I have tried to call her for the last week. I have yet to hear back from her. She seemed to understand I have not listed additional information as I want this matter removed. This was not a leak that was caused by us. Also, all warranties on labor are 5 years. I feel I have done my part.

This complaint has not been resolved. *** son, *** came out today after 2 other roofing representatives came out to assess and evaluate the roof and to give estimates for repair. both companies identified a portion of the ceiling leak as being from the faulty roof. *** and I went on the roof to point out and identified other roofing problems with flashings being loose and not secured by nails, and/or other necessary means, flashings protruding; and shingles not applied to specific parts of the roof. *** also came in the house to see specific ceiling leak as a result of roofing problem. On May 22, 2018 Kevin came out and I informed him that evaluations and assessments were still being done to confirm and identified the leak. I still await for another roofing company to come out to confirm and identify specific problems and issues.

Contractor has been in contact with homeowner. Homeowner explained she was getting other opinions. Two companies were in agreement that skylights were source of problem. She mentioned she was waiting on one more company to check roof. Contractor (we) have been waiting on homeowner to proceed with resolution to the problem. Contractor and homeowner have been in contact. Contractor waiting on homeowner on how she wants to proceed.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: I informed company that 2 other companies have informed that both skylight and work done by Central ( flashing, shingles and other items protruding from the roof) is responsible for the water leak. I also submitted a letter to Central. I have received other assessments and now await on 1 more. Will be contacting Central within the next week to inform them of expected and corrected work needed by them.
