Central Illinois Title Reviews (3)

I am rejecting this response because: Central Illinois Title was the company that titled my house when I bought it If they would have done a complete and thorough title check, they would have known that the titling was incorrect I spoke to the title company during the buying process due to their extremely high cost- more than double the local company that I had tried to get for titling, but I was told I could not change Also, when I talked with Central Illinois Title in February, I was told that they should be able to get this fixed by my closing date on March 10th! They also stated, "if we worse case scenario happens, we will have it fixed by the end of the month! We are now over months out! I can NOT pay my bills because I used all my savings to start this business April 1st, because I was told that at the absolute latest I would have my money by the end of March! Central Illinois Title has continually falling from their business duties, and procrastinated enough! They told my local bank that this would be fixed as well in February, we are more than months out!!! This is unacceptable! This is causing GREAT harm to my family! Time is of the essence to me! I am not a procrastinator, I need to be able to provide for my family I need CIT to do what they should have done a year and half ago when I bought the house and FIX the problem NOW! They have had over months! That is not acceptable business!

To Whom It May Concern:We are in receipt of your correspondence regarding the complaint that was assigned number 12125213. Below is Central Illinois Title Company's ("CIT") response.A foreclosure was completed with respect to the property. The foreclosure foreclosed the exact property pledged in the...

mortgage. The new owner became the owner of the property as a result of the foreclosure and subsequently sold the property to the complainant. CIT, as issuing agent for the underwriter, issued a title policy to the complainant for his purchase of the property. The complainant subsequently contacted our office and indicated the legal description in the Deed did not include the entire property. We immediately reviewed the issue and made a claim against the title company that insured the underlying mortgage at issue in the foreclosure. The title company that insure the foreclosed mortgage subsequently denied the claim on the basis that its relationship with its issuing agent was terminated, and the title policy insuring the mortgage was of no force and effect. We subsequently notified the underwriter for the policy issued to the complainant that the complainant needed to make a claim o the policy. It is our understanding that the underwriter is working to resolve the issue. As this is no an insurance issue, CIT cannot provide any further resolution. CIT did not create or cause the complainant's issue but has made every effort to assist the complainant. CIT has forwarded the complainant's issue to the underwriter for resolution.Sincerely,[redacted]
