I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # *** There was no warranty paper work in the package that CMD included with the unit. I specifically asked *** *** if the warranty was good for a year if the unit was run continuously and he said yes. Attached is the CMD quote and there is no reference to a limited warranty. The only reference to a warranty is on their web page.When the issue first arose *** called and talked to *** the engine provider and this is when he first said the warranty was only good for hours. My impression was that he had never checked to see what the warranty period was from *** and represented it as year as indicated on his web page.There was limited documentation sent with the unit. They sent a *** Operation and Maintenance Manual and serial number card, a CD from *** the alternator manufacturer and a page sheet from *** the control manufacturer. They did not provide a comprehensive users manual. No where in this documentation was there any mention of a warranty.The unit as sold to me and represented by CMD, was covered by a year warranty with no hour limitation. I would have never purchased of these units if I had been told or read that they had less than a year warranty

The warranty on this generator is 1 year or 3500 hours.  It is not an unlimited warranty.  We apologize if you understood differently. Again, we are happy to work with you and get you parts you may need or refer you to a local service provider but with 5000 hours on your machine the...

warranty is no longer valid.

We have sent the requested radiator to Mr. [redacted] and he seems satisfied with the outcome of his generator.  As of 6/9/2016 our correspondence with Mr. [redacted] was satisfactory for him and as far as we are aware we have taken care of his complaints.

The CMD web site list the warranty as one year.  There are no limits listed.Before I bought the generator, I talked with [redacted] who I believe is the owner and specifically asked him about running the generator 24 hours a day 7 days a week and he said it was OK.  I also asked him about the warranty and he said it was for one year even if it runs 24/7.When I first called about the issue he said nothing about a limited warranty.  He said he had to call the engine manufacturer to get a solution.  After several phone calls he said the generator warranty was only good for 3500 hours of run time.  He did offer to provide parts.  I pushed him on it and he hung up on me.  I sent him an email with what my mechanic said was a minimum of parts needed to fix the unit and I got no response from [redacted].We are currently rebuilding the generator engine so we can get our client back on line.Regards,

The web site is advertising the time period for the warranty. It is not an official warranty statement with disclaimers, exceptions etc.
