Review: I dropped off my new bought Tommy Hilfiger checkered shirt at the Central Park Cleaners for wash and press. It's a brand new shirt, the person at the counter even assisted in removing the tags.When I picked it up a week after, there was a wide hole on the sleeve, by the chest pocket and frayed on the collar. I went to the cleaners right away to complain. The person at the counter - June, was very rude. She turned us away with no promise of resolution, just that we have to wait to speak with the owner. She didn't want to put the owner on the phone.When I called the owner today - [redacted], she wasn't apologetic. She said she would give me an $80 credit to her cleaners. She said she doesn't and will not refund the cost of my brand new shirt ($89.00) plus the cost of the service that I already paid - $2.50.Why would I come back and risk getting my clothes ruined by this cleaners?Desired Settlement: I request for a refund for the cost of the shirt - $89.00 Plus 8.35% sales tax, plus $2.50 for the cost of wash/press of one shirt =$96.43$2.50----$98.93

I apologize for what happened to [redacted] shirt. I understand that she dropped off her new shirt for laundry and got it back with a hole in the one of sleeves. I understand that she want her money back. She asked for $98.93 which include $89.00 + tax( shirt price ) and $2.50( laundry price ). I will gladly reimburse that amount as soon as I see the original receipt for the shirt as it is necessary for our records.

I'm unable to find the receipt of the merchandise but have my credit card statement to prove. Please let me know the next course of action. It is a BRAND NEW shirt, the person at the counter even cut the tag for me when I dropped it off.

While you provided your credit card statement, the amount of the total purchases on the credit card statement ($149.79) does not match your requested amount of ($89.00). As I have mentioned before this itemized receipt is necessary for insurance and tax purposes. As you have not provided the itemized receipt I have not been able to reimburse you you’re requested amount. Having not seen the price tag at the time of the drop-off this does not qualify either as proper evidence either. However in the interest of resolving this matter a check for the requested amount of $98.93 will be available to you at your convenience.
