Good Afternoon Ms. [redacted]Please accept this as our response to the complaint reported by [redacted] on 12/8/2016. We believe that at this location, and all other locations that we operate, we have placed adequate signage informing any potential customer that our Digital Pay Stations...

do not issue any type of change when using the cash option to pay for parking at our locations. Our signage clearly informs customers to use "Exact Change" if utilizing the cash option. The customer also has the option to use a Credit or Debit Card to purchase parking, if the customer does not have exact change. When the Credit/Debit Card option is utilized, the customer is charged the exact dollar amount of the parking option that the customer chooses. The customer, in her complaint, admits that she noticed the aforementioned signage, but inserted more than the amount that the Pay Station was requesting for the amount of parking the customer chose. While it is not our goal as a company to take advantage of any of our customers, our position on this matter is that the over-payment was due to user error, and it was not due to a machine malfunction. Our company only issues refunds in cases where there was a machine malfunction, which results in the customer being charged multiple times. Review: While attending an event last night 12-7-15, with my colleagues, parking was difficult to find. I ended up parking at a Central Parking Lot. When I went to the machine to pay for the stall I parked in, I inserted a $20 dollar bill, which my fee was only $10. I noticed at the last minute, after I had put the money in that the machine did not give change. I waited until the next morning during the company's normal business hours and called the business line. I spoke with a young lady and told her my dilemma. After hearing my story she informed me that the company's policy was that there are no refunds given. When I inquired as to why the company did not give refunds, she then said because the company feels that the signage on the machine informs you that it does not produce change and it is then "user error." So basically she said there was nothing she could do for me and have a nice day. She was not rude or condescending but the policy that there are no refunds and that the machine does not give change is ludicrous. I will never utilize this parking system again and will inform family and friends to use other lots if they have to park somewhere.Desired Settlement: The desired resolution for this matter is a refund of $10.00. The receipt that was printed has all of the details of the transaction which also highlights amount that was paid and the amount that is owed.

Review: Central Parking System did not have it posted that there machine does not refund change. My total due for 12 hrs was $10. I put $20 in and did not receive change. I called the number provided and was told it was not there obligation to refund me my owed money. This is bad business and would not recommend them to anyone.Desired Settlement: I just want my $10 refunded.
