When I purchased my vehicle I asked about disability insurance. The CSO representative at the dealership sold me a policy. In the policy there was a section marked "underwriting requirements." in this section was mentioned spine or back condition. I told the CSO representative that I had recently had a back injury. The CSO representative told me that condition meant other things, not an injury, and a couple of back diseases were mentioned. I became disabled and put in the paperwork for my claim. While my back injury was rated by the VA the rating was not very high. I had three other issues that were rated much higher for a total of 170% disabled. I was put off for months while CSO collected my medical information after I had already submitted paperwork from the VA and US Army showing my conditions. Some of my medical providers had to provide two sets of records as CSO claimed that they did not receive the first copies. After months of checking on my claim I was told that, according to the binder, I was guilty of "fraudulent misrepresentation" and told by an agent that I since I was never qualified for the insurance that they would not settle my claim and that they were refunding my premium. Not only was the CSO agent who sold me the policy fraudulently misrepresenting their product and giving me false information but he was also keeping me from getting disability insurance somewhere else. I bought this policy in good faith and now have to suffer additional hardship because of the CSO representative and the CSO claims department. Furthermore it is quite offensive given my military service, deployments, classified assignments and security clearance that CSO would accuse me of fraudulent misrepresentation. I would not recommend CSO to anyone who wants to be covered in the event of becoming disabled. Also, if you choose CSO make sure that you record your entire visit with the CSO agent and be sure that they show you any claims that they make in writing.

I bought a truck in [redacted] was forced by dealer to buy a and h insurance. I just recently file a claim for 3 weeks or about and I also sent them 17 pages of medical records on a dizziness claim I have never had before a lady got smart with me in claims and said they verified two yrs back on wat was wrote in app. I also told her to best of my memory and wat I said was any preexisting prior to 6 months from date of issue of policy they would not pay. I would also point out they sent a request for medical records to my doctor on claim I had filed and doctor also wrote I haven't ever had that problem ever before. They also r asking for another doctors phone number that I listed that has nothing to do with this claim that was from a work injury shoulder problem that has nothing to do with this claim .they should have [redacted] and looked this doctors number up but I don't think he's at his practice I saw him at .I told the lady I would just sue to get this paid and hung up. They're very rude and when I bought this policy the dealer never state d or showed anything about two yrs or 6 months I found the 6 month in writing myself. Horrible people. I'll file suit in couple weeks all they doing is a stall tactic

I purchases a car and bought Disability and Life from Central States on 10-1-14, I got sick and had a disability claim in December 2014, They took 5 months and then told me today they would not cover due to a prescription for diabetes in 2012 and they would refund the disability premium that they have held for 7 months. I told them I wanted to cancel my life insurance also and they wanted to know WHY. I told them if they did not pay on the disability what would make me think they would pay on the
life insurance. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR, NEVER BUY ANY INSURANCE FROM THIS
COMPANY

When I purchased my [redacted] one of the requirements from [redacted] Credit was that I purchase a life/disability insurance policy from Central States Health and Life Co of Omaha.
I was injured and could not work but had totally forgotten about the policy I had purchased until I found myself getting behind on my truck notes (I keep up for almost a year). At this time I called [redacted] to try and make some arrangements concerning my truck. [redacted] told me that I had purchased a policy that should be able to help me out in this matter and told me how to contact the company to start a claim. I called Central States to see what was needed and they sent me a form to file my claim. I also signed forms giving Central States access to my medical records. About 30 days after filling out all paper work, claim form, medical release form and a form from my Dr I called Central States to check the statues of my claim. I was told they were waiting on some records from my Dr that they had not faxed back to them. I contacted my Dr and there was a problem with the fax line on Central States end. The Dr's office made another attempt but was still getting an error message from the receivers end. At this time they decided to fax the forms back to Central States using the line that Central States used in sending the forms to them. The papers went through successfully so I called Central States to let them know that the forms were faxed back to them using the other fax line. I was told that they did not receive anything from the Dr's office on any fax line but that it would need to come over the line they first wanted it faxed to. At some point after about 75-90 days they said they had received the fax from my Dr but was still waiting on something else but could not tell me what it was they were waiting on. At some point I guess they got what they were looking for. I had keep my truck paid up or at least not letting it get over 30 days behind. I noticed one day while signing in to my account with [redacted] Credit that the account said it was up to date, after this I would check each month to make sure it was not getting behind and for 6 months it showed it as being current. [redacted] called me a few months back and told me that Central States had not paid anything on the account and that it was now 6 months behind. I ask how this could be being that I had been checking my account online each and every month. [redacted] told me that Central States had put some sort of hold on the account as they do when they are taking over the notes so therefor it would not show anything being late on the website. Now [redacted] wants me to catch up the 6 months they got me behind on or lose my truck. I paid about 2 more notes but being that I am now on a very limited income I could not come up with the 6 months behind. Paying the note was manageable but not the rears. I have lost my truck now thanks to Central States putting the hold on my account and paying nothing or letting me know they were not going to keep it up. I have turned this over to an attorney to look into this matter and hopefully to make some type of class action suite being there are so many complaints against Central States Health And Life Co of Omaha. At this point I am also looking into [redacted] Credit as to why they let it get 6 months behind before contacting me...My advise to anyone buying a vehicle that the finance company requires this type insurance is to make sure it is NOT Central States and if it is then shop around for another for they are not a very trust worthy company to do business with...
