Texas Pathology Laboratory (CTPL) sent four statements for four consecutive months requesting that the patient contact our office if they were covered by insurance Ms*** never did She actually made three small payments on her account after it was turned over to collection.As a resolution, I have taken the account out of collections and I am writing off the balance of her account As a side fact for you information only, CTPL does not allow our contracted collections agency to turn over any of our patients to a credit reporting bureau We do not want to negatively affect anyone’s credit.Thank you for contacting me when I did not receive or recognize your original email, and giving me the opportunity to respond.Best Regards,*** ***
