Review: Central Valley Broadband has been providing consistently terrible internet service for the past two years. We're forced to stay with them, because there aren't any other options for internet in our rural area.

Some of our neighbors get fine service from this company. That lead us to contact them to try and improve our own.

First of all, they never answer their phone. I have never once called and had a human pick up the phone. It's always me leaving a message. At first they'd call us back. The rude technician [redacted] would condescendingly ask questions like, "did you unplug your router and plug it back in?"

When I explained to him that we were getting bad service, especially after 4:00pm, he told me that it didn't look bad on his end. Well, when he looked, it was in the morning. The only time when our service is decent. He refused to look after 4:00pm when I told him our service got bad(it gets consistently worse the closer it gets to 4:00pm and it stays terrible until about 2:00am.) He ended up berating me on the the telephone rudely and accusing me of lying.

After that, [redacted] stopped returning my calls. I've called dozens of times over the past few months, and each time I very politely ask him to look into our internet problems. Nothing. Radio silence. Our internet continues to get worse. At night, it's now completely unusable. I has a "D" grade from a ping test, which is terrible and bordering on dial-up.

This company has a monopoly in our area. They are the only provider. We also pay a significant amount per month, because people in our family work from home and require internet to do so. All I'm asking is for them to make a reasonable effort to fix our internet problems. We've been with them for many years now, since they were called Nor-Cal Broadband(they were much better then). I'm at my wits end, and need some sort of a solution here. No company should be allowed to have this poor of customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like central valley broadband to fix our internet connection so that we're not getting terrible slow speeds, a ton of jitter, and a ton of packet loss. I'd like them to take the time to look into our situation and also send a technician out. If the problem is with their equipment, then they need to look into that.
