Review: Work order was written up by [redacted] of Central Virginia Welding on July 14, 2015 for replacement and repair of stairs at [redacted] located at [redacted] In addition, deposit of $8,730 (Eight thousand Seven hundred and thirty) was paid by Check #[redacted] for the material. According Mr. [redacted], he was suppose to start the work in August 2015. To this date, Mr. [redacted] has not brought the materials or started work. We have made multiple telephone calls and text messages but have not been successful. [redacted] has made excuse after excuse and still have no date set for the work. We want FULL REFUND in the amount of $8,730 and cancel the work order.Desired Settlement: Cancel the work order and get full refund in the amount of $8,730

Review: On May 7, 2014 I met with the owner of the company who issued a contract for the installation of an outdoor railing at my home. At the time, I issued him Check No. [redacted] in the amount of $800 to cover the cost of materials. The contract gave a completion date of June 15, 2014. Due to a number of family emergencies experienced by the company owner, I agreed to extend the completion date a number of times. While the owner made several visits to my home to take measurements and gave me assurances by phone that he would complete the job, he failed to do so. After phoning him a number of times during the past two weeks and receiving no return call, I phoned him on Friday, September 19, 2014, asking him to refund my $800 down payment or to agree to install the railing. I also advised him that I would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com if I did not hear from him. I heard nothing further and have now proceeded with the complaint.Desired Settlement: Since four months have elapsed with no work done on the railing, I would like the company to issue me a certified check returning my $800 deposit.
