Tell us why h We can go back on forth on this all day We are a Wisconsin Homes Dealer Wisconsin Homes builds the majority of the home as a modular home We work with the homeowner to get that the home and options they want We work with subcontractors for a turn-key project There is no way the customer can honestly think any builder does everything required for a new home project, and doesn’t require subcontractors That is just unrealistic The home was built for the contracted price Only the adds and changes, made by the customer, cost more We don’t understand how customer expects this, and all of the other upgrades for freeJust like the other adds and changes ordered, the russet shakes are not free We gave on that as a peace offering to try to wrap this project up The customer order this upgrade, and we had to pay Wisconsin Homes for them The customer keeps wanting to take They think we owe that to them We wouldn’t expect anyone to pay for things that we order, or buy We already stated our response regarding the plumbing copper vsPEX on the last response There is no need to continue to respond to thatWisconsin Homes does not do the plumbing when the faucets are omitted They also don’t provide copper plumbing for an on-site plumber to use When the customer omitted the faucets, the Wisconsin Homes Specifications for that does not apply We feel the customer can use the money we ate on the russet shakes and the sink and go buy copper plumbing if that is what they want to do With a new home project, a Customer should expect to follow up on the project as it progresses It is not our fault that the customer lives out of town and this is a second vacation home If vacation days are required, we can’t help that We would have met anytime the customer requested us to I don’t recall any requests to do so We have used the same subcontractors for many years We can trust them, and we are in contact with them, throughout the project The sub-contractors and Wisconsin Homes were willing to come pretty much any work week work day to complete the work Per the contract they are not supposed to be in the house This means we should have been able to enter the project/home during the week to complete the project It is also interesting that the customer was willing to let Wisconsin Homes come on a Friday to complete the work they needed to do, while telling us that we had to come on a weekend because it was going to be a long time before they would be available on a weekday Another deception on their part.We are working with the customer and the Troy from Affordable Contracting to install the dryer vent and take care of the lower lever drywall texture The shower will also get cleaned This is the last items on the list that we will be addressing The Customer didn’t pay the final bill as they didn’t pay for the changes they ordered They closed the loan based on the original amount contracted, not the additional overages that they keep trying to skirt around paying We have built several homes and we could also provide a lot of references of very happy customers We did a very good job on this home, and it is a beautiful home It is unfortunate that the customer continues to blame us for the extra costs incurred for additional items they wanted It is also unfortunate that this customer doesn’t appreciate the fact that they have a beautiful, well-built home [redacted] and [redacted]

We are the dealers for Wisconsin Homes To try to help new owners through the process, we hire and manage the sub-contractors We use very reputable sub-contractors that have been in business for several years and that we can trust Affordable Contractors took out the building permit on the project He is also a stick builder himself There was nothing wrong in how this was handled With regard to the complaint of padding as discussed by the customer, that is untrue The customer has been very nasty and very unprofessional throughout the process The problem is that they made changes to the original contract and they don't want to pay for them We have to pay the sub contractors for that work, and have to pass that on to the customer We even provided the subcontractor's bills for the changes, which is what was charged to the customer We can also show payment to the subcontractors to prove they are a match Not sure how that becomes high padding In addition, the customer doesn't understand how this works We sometimes have to estimate work Sometimes we come in ahead and sometimes behind For this customer, they don't realize, but in one of the situations we had to eat quite a bit Also, we have to take out insurance to cover the subcontractors That is also not free We have to manage the subcontractors for the project, that is also time and responsibility that we have to take on In addition the customer added russet shakes to the home We put on the contract, add russet shakes I didn't even have a price on them When I added that to the change order they didn't feel they should have to pay for it It cost me, but of course they thought I should eat that I also missed in my pricing for an exterior door that was stained/painted on both sides, clad jamb, and handles Guess what, that was my mistake so I ate it to the tune of over $ The customer sure didn't feel bad about any of that Regarding the plumbing, the customer omitted faucets from the package/contract Wisconsin Homes builds the modular home as complete as they can for shipment When the customer omitted the factory provided faucets, there is nothing for the plumbing, copper or PEX, to connect to Wisconsin Homes then can't complete that part of the plumbing, so then a licensed plumber must take care of the on-site plumbing The contract had the Wisconsin Homes standard specifications, which included copper stubbed plumbing Once the faucets/plumbing from Wisconsin Homes was omitted, that no longer falls under those specifications In addition, the signed contract states that we can provide alternate materials as long as they meet code and industry specifications PEX is widely used and is the product most plumbers use on-site The customer is being unrealistic by wanting the plumbing changed out They just want to find another way to be unreasonable.Regarding the Karran sink, that isn't even the correct amount It was $ This is not only the cost of and upgraded sink, but it also includes the installation and shipping I did have to pay Wisconsin Homes the full amount but because the customer could find it on-line for less, and gave us such a hard time about it, I just ate $250.00, which is ridiculous to do Regarding the other items, the customer doesn't want us to come complete the project Every date we picked to come complete the work they were busy and wouldn't allow us to come without them there By the way, per the contract, until final billing is paid, they aren't supposed to move in Guess what, they did anyway The customer demanded we come on a Saturday to meet their schedules Though we had to work with Wisconsin Homes to get this approved for their service personnel, we did offer a Saturday and of course it wouldn't work for them We asked for two dates that would work in their schedule Haven't gotten a response on that for over a week Finally we found out that the Customer went direct to Wisconsin Homes for the service person to come over last Friday We rounded up the subcontractors and all went there at the same time Though the customer was not happy, they let us in and we were finished in just over an hour, with the exception of a new dryer vent to be installed, and different texture drywall paint to be put on in the basement where there is just a small bathroom that was finished The customer wasn't happy with the texture used They won't allow that subcontractor to come back until they are there and guess what, no dates provided for him to come finish those couple of last items Regarding the cabinet, the customer stated that it must have been changed out because there magically was no crack That didn't happen and the Customer was shown there was no crack We do care about our customers and have always finished items that are legitimate We also expect to get paid for work done We have maintained professionalism throughout this saga, and will continue to do so The overage charges for changes is approximately $ We will be notifying them that they need to provide a date within the next two weeks for the subcontractor to finish the change in drywall texture in the basement bathroom and to install the dryer vent, and then we expect payment We will continue to work with the Customer on legitimate warranty items

Tell us why h We can go back on forth on this all day.  We are a Wisconsin Homes Dealer.  Wisconsin Homes builds the majority of the home as a modular home.  We work with the homeowner to get that the home and options they want.  We work with subcontractors for a turn-key project.  There is no way the customer can honestly think any builder does everything required for a new home project, and doesn’t require subcontractors.  That is just unrealistic.   The home was built for the contracted price.  Only the adds and changes, made by the customer, cost more.   We don’t understand how customer expects this, and all of the other upgrades for free. Just like the other adds and changes ordered, the russet shakes are not free.  We gave on that as a peace offering to try to wrap this project up.   The customer order this upgrade, and we had to pay Wisconsin Homes for them.  The customer keeps wanting to take.  They think we owe that to them.  We wouldn’t expect anyone to pay for things that we order, or buy.  We already stated our response regarding the plumbing copper vs. PEX on the last response.  There is no need to continue to respond to that. Wisconsin Homes does not do the plumbing when the faucets are omitted.  They also don’t provide copper plumbing for an on-site plumber to use.  When the customer omitted the faucets, the Wisconsin Homes Specifications for that does not apply.  We feel the customer can use the money we ate on the russet shakes and the sink and go buy copper plumbing if that is what they want to do.  With a new home project, a Customer should expect to follow up on the project as it progresses.  It is not our fault that the customer lives out of town and this is a second vacation home.  If vacation days are required, we can’t help that.  We would have met anytime the customer requested us to.  I don’t recall any requests to do so.  We have used the same subcontractors for many years.  We can trust them, and we are in contact with them, throughout the project.   The sub-contractors and Wisconsin Homes were willing to come pretty much any work week work day to complete the work.  Per the contract they are not supposed to be in the house.  This means we should have been able to enter the project/home during the week to complete the project.  It is also interesting that the customer was willing to let Wisconsin Homes come on a Friday to complete the work they needed to do, while telling us that we had to come on a weekend because it was going to be a long time before they would be available on a weekday.  Another deception on their part.We are working with the customer and the Troy from Affordable Contracting to install the dryer vent and take care of the lower lever drywall texture.  The shower will also get cleaned.  This is the last items on the list that we will be addressing.  The Customer didn’t pay the final bill as they didn’t pay for the changes they ordered.  They closed the loan based on the original amount contracted, not the additional overages that they keep trying to skirt around paying.  We have built several homes and we could also provide a lot of references of very happy customers.  We did a very good job on this home, and it is a beautiful home.  It is unfortunate that the customer continues to blame us for the extra costs incurred for additional items they wanted.  It is also unfortunate that this customer doesn’t appreciate the fact that they have a beautiful, well-built home.  [redacted] and [redacted]

Hi [redacted] - we had business with both.  WI Homes must have sold the modular home to WI Central Homes - I have not even begun with WI Central Homes.  But I will send you the contract tonight.  Thank you for following-up with us.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Regards,
[redacted]
While we do agree that we could go back and forth, we remain FIRM on a couple of items.  1.  [redacted] Hack did not disclose that he did not have a license to build in WI and that he would rely on another home builder, Affordable Homes to build the home.  Of course, we understand that [redacted] would hire subcontractors, we also would believe that if we were going to have an overage - we would be informed and in writing.  So with regards to this issue, [redacted] Hack was less than truthful, claiming he was pulling all permits, which was not the case at all.  2.  We were told from WI Homes that the copper piping was omitted by Central WI - hence reducing the costs of the home that we have paid for.  In old school terms, we were recipients of the ole "bait and switch" we stand FIRM, per the contract and specifications of WI Homes, we demand copper piping.  It was omitted by Central Homes without our knowledge or signatures to a Change Order or to the contract for that matter. With regards to the "changes" or "upgrades" as they state,  we never once were told that we would be charged "extra" we carefully worked within budges, a prime example was the flooring, we were given a $10,000.00 budget, we came in close to $8,000.00.  Never once did Central WI inform us that we were over with the shakers or the chimney or the septic and well and a few more items UNTIL the loan was closed. With regards to us living two hours away and it is not their fault, we will take that insult, but [redacted] assured us that he would be at our beckon call when we had issues or concerns.  These people are greedy.  We were told by [redacted] that we would be in our home in time for ice fishing, never happened because Affordable Homes was building homes, they did not have time for us - they were simply used to pull a permit.  In speaking with other builders, no one will work with [redacted] Hack up there, but we digress.  We can also provide a few names of those builders if you would like.We are firm on our stance, Central WI owes us copper piping throughout the home and a few items below - vent in laundry room, bathroom properly primed and shower cleaned.  Central WI simply cannot change specifications to which WI Homes boasts about their uniqueness to their homes with copper piping (amongst other items) as opposed to sick builders to meet their agenda.  They cut costs at our expense.  We chose WI Homes - not Central WI - [redacted] and [redacted] are the middle man who prey upon the home owner for their enrichment. We paid for our home and the loan is live, Central WI has received all of the proper draws, per contract with Paper City (funding bank).  Central Homes is trying to get us to pay ransom for their hidden costs or to reap the loss of their poor accounting skills.  We also have full LEGAL right to be in our home.We have narrowed this down and through this painful experience to this, this is not a full time investment business for Central WI Homes as they dabble in several other businesses and Wendy also works a full time job.  None of this would be an issue, however, we have many examples of slip shot invoicing and poor accounting practices which we are going down another avenue.  Our point in coming to the Revdex.com is for buyer beware, they misrepresent themselves and overcharges the customer without their knowledge.
