Centrik Roofing

I performed two different types of repairs for Mr. [redacted]. One was in the tile roof, and the second was on his patio roof. As I evaluated the patio, I made it to his understanding that he needed a new roof over the patio. I advised to Mr. [redacted] that for this type of roof being a patio roof it needed to be re done or as we call it re roofed.   As he was looking for the cheapest option possible, that is when I suggested that applying elastom[redacted] coating over the patio roll roofing would extend the life of this roof.  I told him that this product alone could last from 7-10 years, but that of course Elastom[redacted] have their specifications and conditions on the application of the product. I did my best possible job so that Mr. [redacted] could have a leak free roof for as long as possible. If he had a leak before my warranty of 2 years, I know and understand that I would have been responsible for repairing the damage.  But if he already had a leak around the “2.5 year mark”, I should have been contacted way earlier in 2012 not in  2015 having approached the 5th year, where I can assure anyone that these leaks began after the big storms we had in late December and early January. This is why a homeowner has home insurance; they are the ones that take care of any damage caused by Mother Nature. One just cannot think a patio roof or any type of roof is eternal. I contacted Elastom[redacted], and was told they would call me back but that didn’t happen. Three days later, Mr. [redacted] called me back and I told him I had not heard back from them. He rapidly angered and assumed I did not want to help him. He called me again and as I told him the same thing, he threatened he would make a commercial about me and tell everyone as possible online how bad I am and write a bad reviews in as many places as he could. If he has videos or anything recorded, I would not be afraid of them being released. Like I said, I did my best possible job; it was a failure of Mr. [redacted] to address to myself or another roofing contractor the situation of his patio roof and to get the damage repaired right away in the “2.5 year mark” to avoid an incident like the one in his patio.

The reason for me being here is because of the complaint placed by Mr. [redacted]. I personally went to his house and spoke to him about the leak in his flat roof. The warranty expired September 16,2012, it is now 2 years and 5 months past I can’t do anything for Mr. [redacted].I asked...

him if he wanted a refund of $400 but he said no, I apologize but there’s nothing else I can do for him.[redacted]

The damage caused by the repair from Centrik Roofing far exceeds the $400 dollars he offered me. I have extensive drywall and wood damage. Upon looking at the the roof initially, [redacted] stated that the repair process he would do would hold up for 7-10 years and that the company that makes the product states this. He has yet to contact the company that makes the product as he told me he would many times on the phone and in person. I have him on video stating that the product should last 7-10 years and that the repair failed. He needs to make this right by contacting the company and getting the repairs done to my house that were caused by a faulty repair/product. 
 
I would be happy to provide pictures and the video of [redacted] inspecting the damage and admitting that the repair failed way before the 7-10 years he told me it would last.

Review: I hired [redacted] from Centrik Roofing to repair a patio cover around 3 years ago. Up on inspection, [redacted] stated that he could cote the patio cover with an Elastom[redacted] paint that would solve the problem and would hold up for 7-10 years. I hired him to do the work. Around 6 months ago there was some storm activity in Scottsdale and the patio cover leaked so bad that several sections of drywall fell to the ground below. I had him inspect it and he stated that there was no leaking and that the drywall simply fell on its own. Recently, another storm came through and more leaking and drywall bubbles. Had him out to inspect again and we put a hose up on the patio and showed him that it was in fact leaking all over the place. He told me that he would contact the manufacturer and see what can be done. He never called me back and recently told me that his warranty is only 2 years and he wasn't going to to anything.Desired Settlement: I want him to repair the roof and all the damaged drywall and trim and have it painted.

[redacted] was professional, courteous, and a joy to work with. His crew was polite and hardworking. Quality workmanship. [redacted]'s quote was reasonable and when the job was done, there were no additional charges. They cleaned up the yard every night before they left for the day. I would definitely recommend Centrik Roofing and that is why we rated them a 5.0 !

Make sure your roofer is willing to climb up on the roof to make measurements and assess condition of the roof, dormers, and turbines. Some roofers only want to use GPS to measure square footage of the roof for a quote which is probably not accurate.
