Complaint: ***
I am rejecting the response offered by Centurion IV because: At no time in this process, have I been notified/advised of the reason for the debt I do not have any outstanding/unpaid bills Centurion seems to be standing behind the the fact that whoever answered my phone on the listed dates just,"Hung Up" I believe that statistically, that is the overwhelming response to spam type phone calls, by the majority of the citizens in the United States They also failed to mention that my answering machine picked up on several of the calls they cited Centurion left no message explaining the debt that I allegedly owe Further, the letter I received from Centurion IV offers me a settlement of a $debt for $ There is no explanation, nor reason given Any reasonable person would deduce that this letter, and the offer to settle a $debt for $is a scam For the reasons listed, I reject Centurion's explanation, and respectfully request that this complaint be affirmed

I am rejecting this response because: Centurion continues to deflect the fact that the contacts were made, or attempted (via letter, and harassing calls), but no explanation of the debt as required by law, has been given The law that applies to this matter does not prohibit Centurion, or their CEO, from divulging an explanation of the alleged debt to the Revdex.com (third party officiating in the complaint) In my humble opinion, this is a classic case of a debt collector hiding behind their interpretation of policy, not law The fact is, they benefit if one or two people in ten are intimidated by their tactics, and just pay the settlement fee (as in this case) For the reasons I have explained, I reject Centurions response

Review: I started receiving phone calls from the listed business, harassing me about a collection that I do not owe. On 11-01-2014, received a letter stating that if I paid $55.00, using my debit or credit card, the remaining amount I owe ($500.00), would be excused. I do not have any outstanding debts at this time. No explanation of the debt that I allegedly owe Centurion IV has been received. I fear that this is a scam, and will be reporting this company to the Ohio Attorney General's office, and my local Police Dept. .Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation of this issue, and for the company to stop contacting me. I am positive that I do not owe any amount to this business or any other business that Centurion represents. As stated above, this business is likely a scam or criminal enterprise.
