Our lease expired June 15. Lack of concern for requested new lease and repair of damages noted upon move in June 14. Some pose safety hazards.Our lease expired in June 2015. We began contacting our point of contact in the Leasing Department, Ms. [redacted], at the beginning of May 2015 in order to begin the process to renew the lease. Both my wife and I called on countless occasions as well as emailed Ms.[redacted]. For an average of every three to four emails and phone calls we would receive one response back from Ms.[redacted]. It got to the point that our lease expired and I began calling the head of the Leasing Department, Mr. [redacted], with our complaints. My wife is a foreign national and we require a signed lease with her name on it to show her long term intentions of remaining in country to support the extension of her Resident Alien card as well as her application for Citizenship. It is now mid-September, our lease is still expired, our communication with Century 21 continues to be non-existent, and we still have no corrected lease provided to us for signature which we require no later than October before my wife's resident card expires. This does not even go into our attempts in getting the noted home repairs done when we first moved in back in June 2014. Repairs include walls with holes in them from the previous tenants, screens that have holes in them, broken inside blinds, burns in the carpet from a hot iron, to include a front railing that is so water rotted that the cross members are not even attached to the support columns. Our Christmas lights are basically what is holding the front porch railing up. We have had friends nearly fall head first off the porch when they went to lean against the railing before we could catch them and warn of the damages. These have been concerns we have also voiced since our move in that I do not want ourselves being held liable for moving out as it is noted in our lease that all damages are the responsibility of the leaving tenant. /////Desired SettlementWe need an updated and agreed upon one year lease with our correct information on it to include my wife's information and our emergency contact points of contact. This is needed in support of her request to extend her Alien Residence card as well as her application for her Citizenship that needs to occur no later than October 2015. We also require either all damages noted earlier upon our move it to be repaired or a signed statement from the homeowner releasing us of all responsibility in their repairs. Century 21 has already sent a contractor to quote the repairs but that was back in the summer of 2014./////
