Century 21 Crown Homes

I went to this real estate agency the person is representing himself as being with century21 real estate, he is not he is located at *** Between *** and *** street, he took 400 dollars in cash from me and had me sign a paper that is not on a century21 letterhead, the paper says simply nyc rooms all boroughs ny ny 10016 with the date on it and the fee and writing I can email you the letter. His name is John he gives you a number to call in for listings I told him I was looking for a studio or a room he told me the 400 dollars was for one week rent one week security. I call the number and get numerous listings when I contact the people they say they dont know who he is and they posted their ad either on *** or ***. One guy told me I think you got scammed other people have called about this guy john and then others said the same thing. I then googled the real century 21 and they transferred me to their manhattanville office number is *** and I spoke to a real agent named Peter and explained the situation he told us they have noone at that location or that name and another gentleman called him about the same thing and the same person and he took his money also. He said they dont take cash from clients and other things. I emailed peter and attached the paper that was signed to him at his email address *** he asked if we get any other information to send it to him
Because this guy is tarnishing the real century 21 name. I called this john person back previously to tell him all the numbers I was calling were for rooms not studios he said they may have put the wrong names and the 400 only goes toward studios and he would send those listings. When I spoke to peter the real century21 person, I called this fraud from my house number so he could hear the recording say century 21 it was after hours so he did not pick up. When I called him to tell him I found a studio today he said go pay them one months rent one months security I told him wat was the 400 dollars for he said his fee I told him u said it was for one weeks rent one weeks security he told me dont talk and that's not what he said. Please advise me what to do from here this man has 400 dollars of my money and is a fake and a fraud. Waiting to hear back from you. Please call me back. I paid $500 for john to help me find a room. He did nothing then refused to refund any of my money stating that they filed for bankruptcy. He has an ad in the a.m paper. This is a total scam and he needs to be stopped. People work hard for their money and to take advantage of someone already down on luck is ridiculous.we had a contract and he has been 1000 percent neglagent.I even have a video recording of john admiting to not doing his job but I can not upload it to this site.
