Inquired about a place I found on [redacted] (RED FLAG - Broker posting in the "For Sale by Owner" section) and agreed to meet the next day. I liked it. He refused to tell me his last name, refused to leave me a business card, refused to let me review the lease even though I expressed interest in signing. When I asked to schedule the lease signing for the next day he flat out refused unless I paid him $3000 in CASH. This, remember, was to schedule the signing of the lease that I told him I would already be happy to pay the standard Security+Broker+1st month rent. No way. I walked. Stay FAR AWAY from this it. There is a reason he doesn't have one positive review anywhere on the internet. He is either pocketing the 'deposit' after the client sees the lease terms are unfavorable or evading taxes.
