I am writing in response to the complaint filed by *** *** on July 2, and assigned an ID #***. Have been in this business for a very long time, and realize that things can happen despite one’s best effortsThere is no excuse for what happened, in any case and I can only express a sense of relief that nothing serious happened as a result
When *** returned to the automotive shop I expressed my concern and informed her that the car would be immediately tended toAfter inspecting the vehicle, I realized that *** was no longer in the shop or outsideShe had left without saying a wordLater, *** *** arrivedI had a conversation with *** ***, who I wrongly assumed was ***’s husband because the invoice was in his nameIt turned out he is her ex-husbandI expressed my apologies and relief regarding the problem
I then had a telephone conversation with Ms*** in which I expressed my feelings and she graciously accepted my apologies
Upon receiving the vehicle I had immediately went in to “fix it” mode and did not spend time with *** showing my concern regarding her well-being and safetyShe had every right to be concernedI fully understand the trust that our customers place in our ability to properly repair their carsIt is of the utmost importance and I take that responsibility very seriouslyIt is regretful that this incident occurred
