I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. While I don't agree with everything they have written concerning the details of my plumbing issue, they did the right thing by refunding me for some of the excessive time spent on the job. I'm grateful that the Revdex.com exists to resolve these kinds of issues when speaking to the business directly does not yield the expected result.

We were called out to a follow up call from *** *** that couldn't open the sewer properly and broke off their cutting tool in the sewer. When we arrived, the sewer was backed up and blocked with debris and some roots. The only accessible cleanout to open the sewer was in a crawl
space cleanout in the kitchen floor. We suggested that the use of the jet rod in this situation would not be an option because the jet rod would blow raw sewerage back into his home and living space since the sewer was currently backed up and the only cleanout is inside. Jet rod use can be done outside through an outside cleanout access only and our plumbers would never jet rod from inside the house. Our jet rod is ready to go on a separate truck and is available to any sewer crew as needed. The tech's that were on the job have over years experience in the water and sewer line of work. Due to the severity of the blockage, the rod would "bounce" up the sewer stack instead of heading down the sewer pipe as it should. With the ingenuity of our techs, we put a camera down the sewer and was able to guide our cutter down the pipe while viewing the camera at the same time. Once the cutter had reached the blockage we were able to rod the sewer properly and clear the obstruction. During the course of the job, we did find a cleanout tee in the main sewer line that would indicate an outside cleanout may be in the front yard for use. This cleanout, if found would allow us to jet rod the line if it was locatedThe home owner had no knowledge of any existing cleanout. Our crew looked for the cleanout for about minutes and due to the snow cover and frozen ground we were unable to locate the cleanout. The home owner stated he would look for it in the spring and call us back. We charged the owner for the time spent. Some homeowners our unaware of how things are done in our business and due research on the internet and expect things to apply to their situation and the fact is that is sometimes does not. Since this complaint was noticed I have authorized a good faith refund of $to keep our customer happySometimes in business you have to do things you don't always agree with. We will have to agree to disagree on this one
