Century Remodeling

Review: Century Roofing and Remodeling replaced our roof after a hailstorm in 2011. During the roof replacement, it was determined by the insurance inspector that the century roofing team had damaged and broke multiple skylights on our roof. In addition to the damaged and broken skylights, we discovered ripped shingles, sloppy shingling, and unfinished flashing on our roof as well. In addition to the damage on the roof, the upstairs bathroom skylight was damaged and caused a significant leak in our upstairs bathroom. In addition to the upstairs bathroom, the water leaked on through to the ceiling on our main floor in which a large watermark was visible.

We took pictures and engaged Century Roofing in the right to cure process to resolve the issues. As part of our agreement, century roofing agreed to repair the skylight in the bathroom on our second level. In our signed agreement, if the skylight leaked again, they agreed to replace with a new Velux skylight.

Since then, the skylight has leaked again and water has leaked into our bathroom in the same location as the previous leak. I contacted Century Roofing and the refused to honor their agreement. I made a phone call spoke to the owner, sent an email (received a read receipt, but they did not respond), and most recently sent a certified letter to Century Roofing and Remodeling.

Because Century refused to respond and honor their agreement we needed to find a resolution quickly because it involved a water leak into our house. We contracted [redacted] out of Neenah, WI. [redacted] conducted the work, took pictures of Century's workmanship, and was able to show where water was making it's way under the shingles to the damaged skylight and into our house. From their professional opinion, they were able to identify and show workmanship negligence. The total cost of removing the shingles around the skylight, removing the damaged skylight, replacing the skylight and re-roofing the shingles was quoted out at $975.

In the certified letter we sent to Century Roofing and Remodeling, we asked for the reimbursement of $975 for resolving our leaking roof and skylight. We gave a date of February 1 to receive our settlement. Much to our disappointment, we did not receive our settlement of $975 for resolving our dispute with Century Roofing and Remodeling.

We are filing a complaint with the Revdex.com asking for the $975 to resolve our dispute and honor the agreement both parties entered as part of our previous right to cure process.Desired Settlement: Century Roofing and Remodeling to issue a payment of $975 to the homeowners to pay for the repair and replacement of the damaged roofing and leaking skylight that occurred during the roof replacement conducted by the Century Roofing and Remodeling crew.

Customer called to complain about a leak on a skylight. All workmanship completed by Century Remodeling LLC is covered for 2 years. Even

though the 2 years time frame had expired, I still sent an employee to repair leak at no charge to homeowner. Homeowner refused the repair

and demanded a new skylight be installed at no charge. The skylight in question is over 20 years old and the sealent around them eventually

dries up and fails. Homeowner sent me a letter demanding to pay for the new skylight installation which he decided to replace, of course I refused. I do have documentation stating completion date of original work and when contacted about leak.

I have a rental property in the Pierce Park area in Appleton that I hired Century Remodeling to install a new roof, siding and gutters for the house and garage. The attention to detail was superb.
The owner of this company does an excellent job with customer service.

We procrastinated all summer but still thought we had enough Fall left to get the roof and gutters done but then our unpredictable WI weather hit with a long cold snap but Century saw a very small window of good weather and made it happen. They had to come back several times when ever the weather permitted to put on the final touches but they got it done and it's great.

I had Century Remodeling LLC come and reside my house and was very pleased with the work that was done. It is very important to them that the work they do is exactly what you were planning on. They also offered great suggestions on products that would give me the best return on my investment. The bottom line is that the job was flawlessly done on time and at the quoted price.

[redacted] and his crew were excellent. I had them replace an old cement tile roof with newer shingles and put on soffet, facia and new gutters. They cleaned up every day so my granddaughter wouldn't find anything on ground. I had to replace skylight and they recommended someone that advised me of new price. They installed it perfectly. I haven't had any problems. I recently had wind take off piece of facia and they came back to replace it. I would recommend them highly.

I would highly recommend Century to anyone looking to replace roof and gutters.We replaced both on our home and everything went well with no problems!!!!We did have a seperate chimney issue and Century returned to help us with that until problem was resolved. The owner of this company has the best customer service of anyone we have ever dealt with.I do not have one negative thing to say. Thank You
