Century Star Fuel Reviews (2)

Review: I am a government employee for the [redacted] The [redacted] refered me to a heating oil company in my area for service. I made a budget contract with Century Star Fuel in August 2013 to pay $275.00 per month for 12 month based on the fact that I use $3000.00 in heating oil deliveries. This usage calculation was made based on on previous years consumptions. The plan was with automatic delivery. INeverthless I was supposed to be advised if my ussage surmounted my contract amount of $3000.00. Yet, CenturyStar Fuel deliberately ordered deliveries in an excess amount of heating oil going over my budget without my notification or consent in the amount of $1947.36 This company never contacted me to notify that that they were pouring oil which went above the amount of my contract. I have a 550 gallon tank and today, I still have 400 gallons of unused oil in my tank. It is evident that I do not use almost $5000.00 in oil I only use $3000.00 and that was my budget.

I contacted [redacted] who is the manager at century fuel about this matter and she told me that oil prices went up and that I had consumed a lot more than I expected. I believed that my contract protected the price that I was paying in oil from going up and the most important thing is why was I not informed? Ms. [redacted] did not answer my questions.

I asked if they could recall their oil and she said no and I replied that I did not ask for all of that oil.

I believe that Century Star Fuel deliberately uses these delivery practices in order to force the consumer to pay they the amount they want.

At this time I am not able to pay Century Star Fuel the excess amount of $1947.36 so they have said that it will go on collection.Desired Settlement: I want CenturyStar Fuel to come to my home and extract the excess oil that they deliberately poured with the intent to make me buy more oil than needed as I will be changing my boiler to gas and therefore I will have no further use for this oil.

Review: I contacted Century Star fuel in the summer 2014. I left several messages requesting that I do not receive any more oil deliveries. I left the message with their answering service. I never received a call back. They still delivered the oil and want me to pay for it. I contacted the company after the delivery advising them of the dates I had call and left a message with their answering service. They told me they never received it. I told them I was not going to pay for a service I cancelled and that they could pump out the oil. The reason why I canceled my service was because I switched to solar. I sent them copies of my solar contract to prove that I had no reason to have the oil. The still said I needed to pay for it.Desired Settlement: I want century fuel to stop the collection process and take the delivery as a loss.
