I am confused about the complaint. If a piece is cracked in the kiln it could not be fixed. It would be replaced. I do remember a couple coming in from Madison on a busy Saturday. But I remember acknowledging them right away saying "I will be with you in a few minutes". I finished giving out...

the paint that the customers were waiting for and asked how I could help them.    Their piece was not on the shelf so I called the employee who is there during the week. She stated that she had mailed out the piece personally a few days before. If the piece was not received in the next week, I am confused why it took 3 months to contact us again. Regarding the dogs, they are both female and do not engage in the behavior in which you are describing. They are usually sleeping in their beds in the corner.  I am more than happy to refund your money. Do you have a cancelled check or a credit card number I can research for the amount?

On 3/7/15 [redacted] came into the ceramic studio to paint with 2
other women. They loved the shop, had a good time and wanted to return to do other
pieces. Upon leaving the customer picked...

out a zodiac plate that she wanted
done. She did not want to paint it herself, but wanted the studio to paint it
for her. She purchased the plate and stated there was no rush. Then told me the
colors that she wanted. About a week and a half later the studio called her to
notify her that one of the pieces in her group that was done was accidentally
fired, when it was not suppose to be and the paint came off.
We were very sorry and wanted to make it up to them. Invited
the woman back to paint her piece again at the studio, of course at no charge. She
did not want to come alone so they asked if they could all come. I stated “certainly”
and to try to make up for any inconvenience I offered for them to return and
paint anything they wanted at 50% off with no class fee, as I know they had
wanted to paint other items.
They were very agreeable to this and seemed satisfied.
Upon coming into the studio at the time they had set up,
[redacted] asked for a refund on her plate that was nearly complete. She had picked
out a new piece to paint. I quietly and calmly informed her that I could not
refund a custom order that was almost complete. She stated that she had called and
had cancelled the plate order earlier with one of the volunteers that work
here.
I called the volunteer and asked her about the customer. She
stated that the customer had come in and that she still wanted the plate but
wanted it finished soon. Volunteer said she had no recollection of her ever
asking me to call her but was not sure. Referred me to a note that she wrote
while the customer was there that day. I found the note and it stated that the
customer wanted the piece. There was no cancellation of it. However if it was
not done soon she would cancel.
The woman that ordered the plate said she wanted it done by
this week end. I informed her again that it was a lot of detail and needed 2
firings but I would have it done.
[redacted] then approached one of the volunteers who pours the
ceramic pieces and said “tell her that I came in and wanted a refund” He said “I
can’t say that, as I do not know what you said”. She became angry at him and
said “You are just saying that so you don’t get fired” He informed her that he
is a volunteer and that his income is not dependent on ceramics plus so he has
no fear of getting fired.
I found the note the volunteer wrote the day that she had
come in for her other pieces and  informed the three of the ladies that were
here what her note said and they became very angry and started yelling and
shouting. They stated that the customer is always right you should not believe
your employees. All attempts to calm them were in vain. They were using foul
language in front of the other customers, one of them being a young girl, whose
mother was not at all pleased at their language. Finally some of the other
customers asked them to quit, as they were having a good time and they were
ruining it.  They stopped for a while and
then started up again.
2 of the customers had finished their pieces and left, the
other 2 were so upset at the language and volume that they left stating they
would be back to finish their pieces when it was quieter and more peaceful. Not
wanting to feed into their anger and language I just stated when they tried to
bait me “I don’t want to talk to you”.
The 3rd lady that was with them was almost finished painting
and I just wanted her to finish and have them leave.
Their tempers, anger and volume continued to escalate to the
point that I don’t even know what they were saying as they were all shouting at
once. It was a dangerous and volatile situation and I informed them that if it
did not quit I would have to call the police.  Unfortunately for the protection of my store
and the residents that live above the shops here I had to call the [redacted] to have them removed from the premises.  The police told me that they gave them a
verbal restraining order not to return.
The plate has since been painted, (Professionally), fired,
glazed and is now waiting to be refired.
Thankfully the woman that was with them was able to finish
her piece and took it with her.

Review: I went into this business to paint something with a few family members. I ordered a plate and asked [redacted] to paint it for me., told her there was no rush on the plate though. About a week and a 1/2 after we went they ruined my cousin's painted piece and told her she could not have a refund but she could come in and paint again. She didn't want to go alone so I told her I would go with her and paint another piece. I called the business to ask if they could not paint the plate I ordered and have [redacted] call me. Explained that because I was coming back I wanted a refund so I could use that money to paint something else with my cosuin. I was told at that time the plate had not been started. I waited a few days for [redacted] to call me and she never did so I called back a few days later, I was told by the worker that they gave her the message, I said again I did not want the plate painted, I wanted a refund on it (the plate costed me $40.00 total). Again I was told [redacted] would call me. Well about a week later I went in there to pick up all our finished painted items and talked with two women and and a gentleman that [redacted] never called me and I called a few times and wanted a refund on my plate. They showed me the unstarted plate and the note that was with the plate saying I didn't want it. I have been watching my credit card to see if I was given a refund. When I went back in there with my cousin to paint more I asked [redacted] about the plate and she told me she was 90% done. I explained very calm to her that I have been trying to get a refund before she started the plate and didn't want the plate anymore. She called me a liar and said she had no messages from me but then about 10 minutes later called someone and said that I told them I liked the 1/2 painted plate and wanted her to keep painting it. None of this happened and I was very upset that she called me a liar in front of other customers when I have been tryign to get in touch with her for weeks. If she would have handled this differently I would have reconsidered keeping the plate and painting something else but the way she treated me and talked to me was very embarrassing to me. I want no more dealings with this buisness.Desired Settlement: I would like my $40.00 rufunced at this time. I do not feel like she is going to finish the job nicely since there is so much friction between us and she has had this plate now for almost 2 months and I paid for it. I would just like my credit card refunded or a cash refund at this time.

Review: My wife had a [redacted] deal for her and a friend to color ceramicsin 2014. After 2 weeks, my wife had not been notified that her piece was completed, so she called and was told that they did not know the status and to call back in a week. When she called back, she was told the piece was ready for pickup. After driving from Madison, we arrived and were told that the piece had cracked in the kiln, was fixed, but had not been refired, so we could not pick it up. For the next several calls, the staff told us that they would mail the piece, taking down our address each time. We offered to pay for the shipping, but were told that they would take care of it and were repeatedly told that it was in the mail.

After waiting more than 6 months and more than 10 calls, we still did not receive the piece, so we stopped in. It took more than 10 minutes before someone acknowledged we were there. There were 2 dogs humping in the corner and a bird in a very cramped room full of people. We were told that the piece was mailed 2 days before, but we have still never received it 3 months later.Desired Settlement: The business currently has an A+ rating through the Revdex.com, which seems inappropriate for the customer service and lack of delivery of the product. We would like the product delivered to us.
