Ceritified Cleaning & Restoration

Review: We hired Certified Cleaning and Restoration to remediate mold which accumulated throughout our house due to a failure of a dehumidification and air conditioning system. This included decontamination of surfaces, furniture, items, and rugs/carpets. As requested of the company, we paid them 2/3 of the fee in advance, and they did that work in the early part of October, 2013. It was necessary to vacate our house for a week while they did this work, followed by the replacement of the faulty dehumidification and AC system by an AC vendor. After the mold remediation work was over, we noticed yellow stains throughout the carpet in our master bedroom. Their workman came back out when we notified them, but he was unable to remove the stains. This was a new rug, installed in March 2013, at a cost of $5080, and is now ruined due to failure to review and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for cleaning. Efforts to get this company to accept responsibility and pay us to replace the ruined rug have not been successful. We last heard anything from them on November 12. They have not responded at all to subsequent emails, as late as yesterday (12/1/13). We have turned the matter over to our attorney, at the same time that we are filing this complaint.Desired Settlement: We want a check from them to cover the cost of the carpet ($5080) ruined due to their negligence. We will take care of replacing it. We have provided a receipt from the carpet company that installed the original carpet in March 2013, showing the original cost of $5080, which is the amount we expect to receive from them, plus any attorney costs incurred due to their failure to respond to our communications and demand for resolution.
