I appreciate Mr [redacted] taking time to contact the Revdex.com The day that we washed the house and started prep, there was a threat of rain in the afternoon It did rain in the area Instead of removing the rotten wood at that time and possibly expose the substrate to rain, we chose to caulk the gaps to ensure that no water would get behind the substrate We removed and replaced the wood trim the following day when there was no threat of rain I called Mr [redacted] to explain why the wood was not replaced on the first day, that it was replaced on the second day, why we caulked the old wood and he said he understood our reasoning Mr [redacted] 's contract called for one coat of paint on his house With respect to the rust damaged back doors The crew did sand, apply rust proof primer and paint the doors However, Mr [redacted] noticed rust residue in the affected area a few days following completion He called our office We scheduled our crew to return to his house to re-sand the affected area and apply "GEM" inhibitor We allowed the rust inhibitor to activate for over hours We returned to paint the door A few days later, Mr [redacted] called our office to tell us he did not like the way the door was painted and that it looked like a 12-year old painted it The door was painted when it was late in the afternoon and it is likely the paint dried too fast, leaving a "clumpy" look to it We told Mr [redacted] we would send a different crew to his house to resolve the situation He told us not to bother and that he would paint the door himself He hung up the phone without allowing us to schedule a crew to return We wanted to return to repaint Mr [redacted] 's back door However, he told us not to bother to come back and that he would do it himself We were willing to return to his house at that point and still are willing to return to repaint the back door With respect to dust and dirt being under the stain and varnish on the front door This is the first time Mr [redacted] has raised that issue Like the back door, we are more than willing to return to his house and refinish his front door Mr [redacted] runs a postal facility and is extremely busy We will contact him to schedule a date and time to re-paint his rear door and re-stain his front doorThanks................Dale [redacted] (Owner, CertaPro Painters)
