Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: My purpose in filing a complaint with the Revdex.com is to try to prompt this company to make good on its contractAlthough tempting, neither an emotional rant nor spinning the facts as CertaPro has done, is a solutionCertaPro's last offer to "complete the work" was to ask me how much would I be "comfortable" holding back, "would $would be enough?" I almost didn't even understand the questionI couldn't believe he had the gall to even ask it at that pointThe contract was to be paid in thirdsOn good faith (my mistake), I had already paid two thirds before realizing that not only was two thirds of the work not completed, there were additional damages caused by CertaPro that needed correctionThe only issues CertaPro were addressing at this point were the gutters and downspouts which would have had to be mounted onto un-repaired fascia boards and onto a pergola post that was migrating off the patio because they had not bothered to actually anchor it to the patioThey were holding the repair work hostage for an early final paymentSo, my response was to hold back the last third, as previously agreed, per contract, until total job completionThis is when Chad threatened to place a lien on my houseMy response to that was to go aheadI have video, photo, and written documentation to prove they have not fulfilled this contract, have lied to me, and have caused damages Spinning truths, such as 'I wouldn't let them finish the work' (only because they wanted me to make final payment upfront with no promise of correcting things), 'spending countless hours at my dining room table' (that was only when Chad was trying to get me to sign the contract), and then labeling me as an 'unreasonable, rogue customer' resolves nothingI felt there was no value in mentioning how several neighborhood walkers would stop and say things like, "CertaPro? You know they are the highest priced" and another, "CertaPro did all our condo doors and they are just awfulWe're trying to get our HOA to do something about them," or that while they were on my job, there appeared some negative Yelp complaints about them which suddenly disappeared a week laterAgain, these things are meaningless and only brought up because of Chad's truth-spinning and trying to place blame on meI have turned over much of my documentation to Revdex.comAs far as their 'impeccable record'---something is until it isn'tI got straight 'A's until I didn't There were no 'several different occasions to complete the work'Did Chad mention that his JSS walked off and left during our walk-around, saying, "No, that’s itI'm done."? This was exterior work; no one ever showed up to do any repairs to the damage they causedDid Chad mention that he said he was losing money on this job? Did Chad mention how he wished he had known about how many problems remained and how much work was left to do before he had gone ahead and paid his JSS? He said that his JSS led him to believe that basically only the gutterwork remainedHe then blamed his JSS for everything at that pointNow he is blaming me All his bullying words and distorted attacks on me don't justify his not fulfilling the terms of a written contractHe wanted more money for work not yet donePrompt and timely (even premature) payments were made in the sum of $12,and he still wanted the final payment before completionThe following, although not even totally inclusive, are just the highlights of issues: One coat of paint, not twoCombined satin finish paint to some areas to touch up spots on flat finish on sidingAlso many spots were missed around entire houseGot paint on at least of security cameras No new gutters/downspouts and left me with the ftof the front gutter pried away and bent perpendicularly in the middle---hanging, pointing toward street, and swaying in the windI finally had to remove it myself due to dangerRainwater is now gushing around this crucial area of my foundationLeft the back gutter detached from downspout and it is also causing problems Pergola post not anchored to concrete and now the necessary downspout cannot be attached to itAt some point the un-anchored post is going to slide off the edge of the approximate 15" patio drop and the pergola will come crashing downDid not install my $front window replacement that I paid for separately, but contracted with them to install Ruined at least storm windows and broke the glass on oneTotally dropped one of them from up on the ladderAll of the sliding sashes are off their tracks and rattle in the windDid not replace the caulk around any of them and left them totally useless for weather protectionMy winter heating costs have greatly increasedNot looking forward to upcoming air conditioning bills Used the wrong paint on my brand new garage doors after I verified they would use the manufacturer's specified paint(This was one of the lies.) I had to manually remove the paint myself so as not to hurt the manufacturer's finishThis took hours of painstaking labor Spit both side frames of my brand new prehung door which I also bought separatelyIt does not close properly and was not even sealed or caulked Instead of replacing the whole panel, an area of cedar siding panel was sawed out and replaced leaving an 18" X 1" jagged horizontal gap between panelsDaylight streams throughI had requested that extra special attention be paid to staining the tops of the pergola boardsThe JSS acknowledged that he understood that they needed extra protection from rain and the elements(Another lie) They are totally bare, unprotected all winterIt's blatantly obvious he thought I'd never look(Unprofessionaldeceitful and disrespectful) In return for letting the JSS talk me out of the installation of full perimeter soffits covers, fascia wrap, and total replacement of the front porch ceiling, the 'huge' savings that he promised after he deducted for supplies and labor, would have turned out to be $Certainly not worth forgoing having them installed Those are just some of the problems with which I still have to contend and yet this company is acting like the victimAll their words are just that, wordsThey’ve held the contracted work hostage and wanted the ransom paid prematurely before ever delivering the workThe facts are in the documentation Sincerely, Carol Cass

Contract was signed on August 1, 2016The amount was $19,500, I paid on August 1, $and on September $5800The gutters they replaced had to be removed as they were hanging and have not been replaced.? The never installed the soffits and did not give me credit.? They broke two storm windows and glass.? My heating bills have rose due to this.? They have not replaced a front window and the pergola is not installed correctly and they never stained the boards.I will send you a copy of the contract and pictures I have.?

I would like to first state that CertaPro Painters has tried to resolve and complete this work for Miss [redacted] time and time again and she simple would (NOT) let us do it, for no JUSTIFIED REASON!! Which is why all of this makes “ZERO SENSE”!! Next, I would like to say that I am “Highly Offended” by the accusations that Miss [redacted] has stated that she has been lied to and most of all that she was THREATENED by me or anyone in my organization I hope no one really believes that!! I/We were nothing but complete professionals and treated Miss [redacted] with the utmost respect the entire time as we have always done for every customer on every job that we have ever done! So, all of this is not only completely and untrue but, it is an (OUTRAGE) with a “Rogue” unreasonable customer and an attack on my character, my integrity, my ethics and my morals as an individual and also as a Business Owner I have had an (A+) Rating with the Revdex.com for many years with never receiving Single Complaint!! So, why in the world would I all of a sudden out of the (BLUE) just start lying and threatening and cheating my customers? It just simple does NOT make sense! Anyone that is reading this, you are welcome and even invited to call every single one of our customers over the past years and (NOT) one of them is going to tell you that this complaint even comes close to resembling who I am or who we are and how we run our business! Frankly, I was not even raised that way. This would be completely out of character and would be business suicide if these accusations were even close to being true So, within the years that I have owned this company I have NEVER HAD ONE SINGLE complaint! So, I unfortunately feel I need to say it again, does anyone really think that just out of the (BLUE) that I am going to start lying and threatening our customers like Miss [redacted] has suggested? The answer is of course (NOT)!! Does this sound like a person or business that has maintained an “Impeccable Record” for so many years would do? No, of course NOT and it’s because those things never happenedMiss [redacted] has changed her mind on us so many times and has delayed the project time after time after time. I took a special kind heart with Miss [redacted] and was very sympathetic to her personal health issues and her family health issues and built a very nice and respectable, professional relationship with her, over the years without even doing business with her yet, which is a reflection of our excellent and Personal Customer Service I have many organizations that have researched my company for example, Insurance Adjusters and companies like “Claims Pages” which is the highly respected and the only company that Insurance companies use to provide their customers with the most highly rated companies within their field category where I rank among the TOP ELITE! With such comments given by others such as “CertaPro Painters Of Chesterfield” is regarded as Highly Reputable, Performing Quality Work with Outstanding Professionalism along with (ZERO) RED FLAGS for over the past years!! That is why I was put on their list for over 13,Claim Adjusters in the state of Missouri I/We tried on several different occasions to complete the work with Miss ***, were every time she would (NOT) let us come back to complete the work with no reason why The job was never completed because when we would come to continue work she just upped and said that she no longer wanted us back and could never give us a valid reason, why? (This became a game with Miss [redacted] and the bottom line is that we tried to finish our work and she would NOT let us)!!! Again for no valid reason!! Now, by making this claim on the Revdex.com it is ruining my business and reputation that I am very proud of and have worked very hard to make it what it is today! Then Miss [redacted] decided that she was just going to up and hold back $5,from us, with absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION for such a LARGE AMOUNT! Which she later admitted to me that it was TOO MUCH and that there was maybe about $2,worth of work that still needed to be completed but, again Miss [redacted] would (NOT) let us do the work! So, she actually owes us $3,for completed work, which I could have put a Lien on her house for but, I did not do so Because, I maintained an excellent relationship with Miss ***, were I spent several late nights at her house sitting at her dining room table trying to help her with her ideas and colors etcwhile my wife was at home with dinner waiting I cannot even count the number of times that we went the extra mile for Miss *** Miss [redacted] changed her mind on us with colors so many times, right in the middle of the project even that our heads were spinning, at least mine was! We did everything that we could to accommodate Miss [redacted] and there was just never any pleasing her! No matter what we tried to do to make her happy, no matter how good everything looked it just was never good enough and I finally just realized that there just never would be The last day that we were with Miss [redacted] we walked the ENTIRE HOME with myself, my JSS (Job Site Supervisor) and Miss [redacted] and she pointed out everything that we all already knew that needed to be completed which was within the $2,and then she would point out things that were never even on the Contract but, we said that we would do it for her anyway and this went on and on Every item that Miss [redacted] pointed out we said that we would do it for her and then we were all finally settled and all in agreement We were finally going to be able to get back to work and finish the job and then right at the last minute Miss [redacted] just upped and said......and I mean right out of “Left Field” She said, no, no, you know whatI don’t want you guys back!! I have changed my mind again! It was truly unbelievable! I stayed with Miss [redacted] for another hour or more that day and tried to reason with her and she just continued to talk in circles So, I finally had to leave feeling like Miss [redacted] as totally taken advantage of my good natureAfter all that I even spoke with Miss [redacted] one last time that night on the telephone trying to again reason with her and resolve the issue (I mean this type of thing has never happened to me before) But, she just continued again to talk in circles and would (NOT) let us come back to complete the work After I tried one last time to resolve the issue it never turned into anything and the conversation basically went nowhere After being on the phone with Miss [redacted] for at least over an hour or more the effort went nowhere and then I never heard from her again until this complaint here on the Revdex.com We as a business at that time, had given up on Miss [redacted] and we were given advice to cut our losses and basically eat the $3,and chalk it up as a lesson learned CertaPro Painters tried countless times to resolve and complete the work with Miss [redacted] but, again she would simply (NOT) let us come back to do the work, while she held onto the $5, So, this complaint is disputed and 100% UNJUSTIFIED!!!

We were finally going to be able to get back to work and finish the job and then right at the last minute Miss *** just upped and said......and I mean right out of “Left Field”………She said, no, no, you know whatI don’t want you guys back!! ? I have changed my mind again! ? It was truly unbelievable! I stayed with Miss *** for another hour or more that day and tried to reason with her and she just continued to talk in circles? So, I finally had to leave feeling like Miss *** as totally taken advantage of my good natureAfter all that I even spoke with Miss *** one last time that night on the telephone trying to again reason with her and resolve the issue (I mean this type of thing has never happened to me before) But, she just continued again to talk in circles and would (NOT) let us come back to complete the work? After I tried one last time to resolve the issue it never turned into anything and the conversation basically went nowhere? After being on the phone with Miss *** for at least over an hour or more the effort went nowhere and then I never heard from her again until this complaint here on the Revdex.com We as a business at that time, had given up on Miss *** and we were given advice to cut our losses and basically eat the $3,and chalk it up as a lesson learned CertaPro Painters tried countless times to resolve and complete the work with Miss *** but, again she would simply (NOT) let us come back to do the work, while she held onto the $5, So, this complaint is disputed and 100% UNJUSTIFIED!!!

Contract was signed on August 1, 2016The amount was $19,500, I paid on August 1, 2016 $6500 and on September 30 $5800The gutters they replaced had to be removed as they were hanging and have not been replaced.  The never installed the soffits and did not give me credit.  They broke two...

storm windows and glass.  My heating bills have rose due to this.  They have not replaced a front window and the pergola is not installed correctly and they never stained the boards.I will send you a copy of the contract and pictures I have.

I would like to first state that CertaPro Painters has tried to resolve and complete this work for Miss [redacted] time and time again and she simple would (NOT) let us do it, for no JUSTIFIED REASON!! Which is why all of this makes “ZERO SENSE”!! Next, I would like to say that I am “Highly Offended” by the accusations that Miss [redacted] has stated that she has been lied to and most of all that she was THREATENED by me or anyone in my organization.  I hope no one really believes that!!  I/We were nothing but complete professionals and treated Miss [redacted] with the utmost respect the entire time as we have always done for every customer on every job that we have ever done!  So, all of this is not only completely false and untrue but, it is an (OUTRAGE) with a “Rogue” unreasonable customer and an attack on my character, my integrity, my ethics and my morals as an individual and also as a Business Owner.  I have had an (A+) Rating with the Revdex.com for many years with never receiving 1 Single Complaint!! So, why in the world would I all of a sudden out of the (BLUE) just start lying and threatening and cheating my customers?  It just simple does NOT make sense! Anyone that is reading this, you are welcome and even invited to call every single one of our customers over the past 7 years and (NOT) one of them is going to tell you that this complaint even comes close to resembling who I am or who we are and how we run our business!  Frankly, I was not even raised that way.  This would be completely out of character and would be business suicide if these false accusations were even close to being true. So, within the 7 years that I have owned this company I have NEVER HAD ONE SINGLE complaint!  So, I unfortunately feel I need to say it again, does anyone really think that just out of the (BLUE) that I am going to start lying and threatening our customers like Miss [redacted] has suggested?  The answer is of course (NOT)!! Does this sound like a person or business that has maintained an “Impeccable Record” for so many years would do?  No, of course NOT and it’s because those things never happened. Miss [redacted] has changed her mind on us so many times and has delayed the project time after time after time.  I took a special kind heart with Miss [redacted] and was very sympathetic to her personal health issues and her family health issues and built a very nice and respectable, professional relationship with her, over the years without even doing business with her yet, which is a reflection of our excellent and Personal Customer Service. I have many organizations that have researched my company for example, Insurance Adjusters and companies like “Claims Pages” which is the highly respected and the only company that Insurance companies use to provide their customers with the most highly rated companies within their field category where I rank among the TOP ELITE!  With such comments given by others such as “CertaPro Painters Of Chesterfield” is regarded as Highly Reputable, Performing Quality Work with Outstanding Professionalism along with (ZERO) RED FLAGS for over the past 7 years!!  That is why I was put on their list for over 13,000 Claim Adjusters in the state of Missouri. I/We tried on several different occasions to complete the work with Miss [redacted], were every time she would (NOT) let us come back to complete the work with no reason why.  The job was never completed because when we would come to continue work she just upped and said that she no longer wanted us back and could never give us a valid reason, why?  (This became a game with Miss [redacted] and the bottom line is that we tried to finish our work and she would NOT let us)!!!  Again for no valid reason!!  Now, by making this claim on the Revdex.com it is ruining my business and reputation that I am very proud of and have worked very hard to make it what it is today! Then Miss [redacted] decided that she was just going to up and hold back $5,800.00 from us, with absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION for such a LARGE AMOUNT!  Which she later admitted to me that it was TOO MUCH and that there was maybe about $2,000.00 worth of work that still needed to be completed but, again Miss [redacted] would (NOT) let us do the work!  So, she actually owes us $3,800.00 for completed work, which I could have put a Lien on her house for but, I did not do so.  Because, I maintained an excellent relationship with Miss [redacted], were I spent several late nights at her house sitting at her dining room table trying to help her with her ideas and colors etc. while my wife was at home with dinner waiting.  I cannot even count the number of times that we went the extra mile for Miss [redacted].   Miss [redacted] changed her mind on us with colors so many times, right in the middle of the project even that our heads were spinning, at least mine was!   We did everything that we could to accommodate Miss [redacted] and there was just never any pleasing her!  No matter what we tried to do to make her happy, no matter how good everything looked it just was never good enough and I finally just realized that there just never would be.   The last day that we were with Miss [redacted] we walked the ENTIRE HOME with myself, my  JSS (Job Site Supervisor) and Miss [redacted] and she pointed out everything that we all already knew that needed to be completed which was within the $2,000.00 and then she would point out things that were never even on the Contract but, we said that we would do it for her anyway and this went on and on.  Every item that Miss [redacted] pointed out we said that we would do it for her and then we were all finally settled and all in agreement.  We were finally going to be able to get back to work and finish the job and then right at the last minute Miss [redacted] just upped and said......and I mean right out of “Left Field”………She said, no, no, you know what..... I am rejecting this response because:
My purpose in filing a complaint with the Revdex.com is to try to prompt this company to make good on its contract. Although tempting, neither an emotional rant nor spinning the facts as CertaPro has done, is a solution. CertaPro's last offer to "complete the work" was to ask me how much would I be "comfortable" holding back, "would $2000 would be enough?" I almost didn't even understand the question. I couldn't believe he had the gall to even ask it at that point. The contract was to be paid in thirds. On good faith (my mistake), I had already paid two thirds before realizing that not only was two thirds of the work not completed, there were additional damages caused by CertaPro that needed correction. The only issues CertaPro were addressing at this point were the gutters and downspouts which would have had to be mounted onto un-repaired fascia boards and onto a pergola post that was migrating off the patio because they had not bothered to actually anchor it to the patio. They were holding the repair work hostage for an early final payment. So, my response was to hold back the last third, as previously agreed, per contract, until total job completion. This is when Chad threatened to place a lien on my house. My response to that was to go ahead. I have video, photo, and written documentation to prove they have not fulfilled this contract, have lied to me, and have caused damages. Spinning truths, such as 'I wouldn't let them finish the work' (only because they wanted me to make final payment upfront with no promise of correcting things), 'spending countless hours at my dining room table' (that was only when Chad was trying to get me to sign the contract), and then labeling me as an 'unreasonable, rogue customer' resolves nothing. I felt there was no value in mentioning how several neighborhood walkers would stop and say things like, "CertaPro? You know they are the highest priced" and another, "CertaPro did all our condo doors and they are just awful. We're trying to get our HOA to do something about them," or that while they were on my job, there appeared some negative Yelp complaints about them which suddenly disappeared a week later. Again, these things are meaningless and only brought up because of Chad's truth-spinning and trying to place blame on me. I have turned over much of my documentation to Revdex.com. As far as their 'impeccable record'---something is until it isn't. I got straight 'A's until I didn't. There were no 'several different occasions to complete the work'. Did Chad mention that his JSS walked off and left during our walk-around, saying, "No, that’s it. I'm done."? This was exterior work; no one ever showed up to do any repairs to the damage they caused. Did Chad mention that he said he was losing money on this job? Did Chad mention how he wished he had known about how many problems remained and how much work was left to do before he had gone ahead and paid his JSS? He said that his JSS led him to believe that basically only the gutterwork remained. He then blamed his JSS for everything at that point. Now he is blaming me. All his bullying words and distorted attacks on me don't justify his not fulfilling the terms of a written contract. He wanted more money for work not yet done. Prompt and timely (even premature) payments were made in the sum of $12,300 and he still wanted the final payment before completion. The following, although not even totally inclusive, are just the highlights of issues: 1. One coat of paint, not two. Combined satin finish paint to some areas to touch up spots on flat finish on siding. Also many spots were missed around entire house. Got paint on at least 9 of 12 security cameras. 2. No new gutters/downspouts and left me with the 9 ft. of the front gutter pried away and bent perpendicularly in the middle---hanging, pointing toward street, and swaying in the wind. I finally had to remove it myself due to danger. Rainwater is now gushing around this crucial area of my foundation. Left the back gutter detached from downspout and it is also causing problems. 3. Pergola post not anchored to concrete and now the necessary downspout cannot be attached to it. At some point the un-anchored post is going to slide off the edge of the approximate 15" patio drop and the pergola will come crashing down. 4. Did not install my $1000 front window replacement that I paid for separately, but contracted with them to install. 5. Ruined at least 3 storm windows and broke the glass on one. Totally dropped one of them from up on the ladder. All of the sliding sashes are off their tracks and rattle in the wind. Did not replace the caulk around any of them and left them totally useless for weather protection. My winter heating costs have greatly increased. Not looking forward to upcoming air conditioning bills. 6. Used the wrong paint on my brand new garage doors after I verified they would use the manufacturer's specified paint. (This was one of the lies.) I had to manually remove the paint myself so as not to hurt the manufacturer's finish. This took 110 hours of painstaking labor. 7. Spit both side frames of my brand new prehung door which I also bought separately. It does not close properly and was not even sealed or caulked. 8. Instead of replacing the whole panel, an area of cedar siding panel was sawed out and replaced leaving an 18" X 1" jagged horizontal gap between panels. Daylight streams through. 9. I had requested that extra special attention be paid to staining the tops of the pergola boards. The JSS acknowledged that he understood that they needed extra protection from rain and the elements. (Another lie) They are totally bare, unprotected all winter. It's blatantly obvious he thought I'd never look. (Unprofessional. deceitful and disrespectful) 10. In return for letting the JSS talk me out of the installation of full perimeter soffits covers, fascia wrap, and total replacement of the front porch ceiling, the 'huge' savings that he promised after he deducted for supplies and labor, would have turned out to be $1400. Certainly not worth forgoing having them installed. Those are just some of the problems with which I still have to contend and yet this company is acting like the victim. All their words are just that, words. They’ve held the contracted work hostage and wanted the ransom paid prematurely before ever delivering the work. The facts are in the documentation.
