We completed this job on April 6th, we did have some issues with a couple of the painter helpers on the first couple of days of the jobOur supervisor worked very hard with Mr and Mrs *** to address their issues, and was told by the ***s that every thing was fixed to their satisfaction,
and even mentioned the paint job looked "Wonderful"As per our policy, we had taken no payment on the job, as our policy states the customer can pay when they are completely satisfied with the workThe ***s told us they were completely satisfied and paid us in full for $by checkOn the 8th, Mr *** called me to tell me that their washing machine had flooded the homeI talked to him about how to handle it, and I felt the best thing to do is to get a professional company like ServPro to come in and handle the water, and to immediately contact his insurance company to start a claim so Servpro could be paidI told him I would also file a claim, which I didI was told by my insurance agent that this is the correct way to handle itI asked Mr *** if there was anything else I could do, and he said noI felt extremely bad that he was going through this, and never denied responsiblityThe next day the ServPro tech called me and asked for a credit card for payment of services, and I told him my understanding was the insurance companies would pay their bill as told by my insurance agentI NEVER said to "come after me" or anything to that effect Monday, On Monday ther 11th, I get a call from my bank that Mr *** had stopped payment on the check he gave us for When I called him, he then told me there were still issues with the paint, and was angry that we never came by to see themI told him at that time, that no one from his family had told us there were any outstanding issues, and that his wife told us the paint job looked "Wonderful"We will be glad to look at any areas where he thinks there are issuesI never told mr *** to "come after us" and frankly am shocked he would sat that Mr *** is not out any money, as he says his out of pocket expense for the work was $which was less than the check he stopped payment onI am out money however, as I have paid for paint, and paid painters but have not been paid for the paint jobI have filed a claim with my insurance, so I believe that while this was certainly unfortunate, we have done everything we can to resolve Mr ***s water issueWe very much appreciate the ***'s business, and hate they are going through this

Thank you for your response.  After talking to Mr. [redacted] as requested, we determined that there were still areas on the actual paint job, you were not happy with after further inspection. I went to the home and reviewed all areas that needed touch up, and myself and the painter arrived as agreed to take care of them. We touched up areas as needed, and Mr and Mrs [redacted] viewed and agreed they were happy with the paint job. Thank you for paying me at that time for the paint job.  As for the money that you are out for the damage from the washing machine problem, I understand that you have talked to my insurance companies adjuster after missing each other several times. We are in the process of helping you get receipts to them for your expenses, and I expect them to reimburse you in full. We are in the process of trying to clean the paint spots, or will replace the flooring as needed. I believe that this will be resolved in full, but please let me know if anything else is needed.
