I have climbed the ladder at the Direct Mail company to get an answer to why this happened again This is their response: It looks like when we added them to the do not mail list, We put the name in there are *** ***Our system needs to match the name and address in the file 100%That being said, I have added *** *** and *** *** to our do not mail listI also noticed the first address you gave was Hawthorn Woods and the address below says Lake ZurichI looked on a map and say there are basically the same areaSimilar to Amherst and Williamsville NY for meI went ahead and added both *** and *** and used both Lake Zurich and Hawthorn WoodsThis way in the future if we are ever given the address and it does not match 100% (Hawthorn Woods vsLake Zurich) we are coveredI am so sorry that we had the name in there as ***. Can the customer give me the official address of his son so that I can make sure it is 100% spot on correct in the Do Not Mail list

I have investigated as far as I can and the responses I have gotten are below We have put the childs name of the "Never mail again" list through Axiom, but like they say below, this does not mean other Data companies do not have it They most likely do, as they get their information in the same way.Below is what I have gotten from the data company about how they got the name.I will send the name and address over to *** to have it added to the suppression file. You will also want the Parent to contact the *** to have the name removed from all lists (we can only do it for ***) . As a result, there is no information to identify that this record belongs to someone younger than years old. •The child’s name has an incorrect age or date of birth information attached to it from one or more *** contributors and therefore the child’s record appears to be that of an adult. This can happen for a few reasons: •Due to a typographical error in the source data entry process. •As a result of a child creating a fictitious age or date of birth in order to qualify for a contest, free giveaway offer, etc(This has become more prevalent as more children are accessing the Internet.)•If an adult (parent, grandparent, etc.) registers that child’s name with their own age or date of birth information(e.gwarranties, contests, etc.)

ps our correct addres is [redacted] in Lake Zurich, IL. The solicitation was sent to [redacted] in Hawthorn Woods, IL. This is how I know that your list was not pulled from anything that he signed up for as he knows his name and city.

This was never a customer of ours.  They did receive  direct mail piece from us that apparently was addressed to a child.  Once he contacted us, we immediately called our Direct Mail company to try and find out how this happened and where they got the information.  Our direct...

mail company forwarded us the information of the data company that had given the data to our Direct Mail company.  We immediately forwarded the information for that company on to Mr. [redacted] so he could get answers as to where they got his child's information.  Seeing that the information could be sensitive in nature, we were advised to have Mr [redacted] contact them directly instead of them giving us the answers.

We indeed told out Direct Mail company to remove the name and to never mail again.  We were told that it was taken care of.  Obviously it was not.  We have again sent a written response to our Direct Mail company asking why the name was not removed like we were told it was.  We...

will forward their response as soon as we get it.

We have emails from the customer telling us the painting portion of the job was perfectly fine.  The painter is a sub-contractor of ours and does exclusive work for CertaPro.  They did not back into the mailbox and we have pictures of the mailbox showing no tire marks in the snow anywhere...

near the mailbox.  The customer also claimed to have a security camera that would show if our painter backed into it or not.  The customer has yet to provide us with those pictures.  The customer also asked our painter to apply the 3rd coat as "a favor" and "off-the-record".  He also tried to have our painter do more work "on the side", but our painter drew the line and refused.  We also have pictures showing the lock was put back on the door correctly.  The customer also said we owed him money for a new lock.  Upon calling the locksmith, we were told no new lock was installed and that also, the fault of the lock-out was the customers, not ours.
