Sept 3rd to complete the down payment but released the car to her anyway. We also reduced her interest rate to 13.99% to accommodate her price range. Our normal sub-prime rate is between 21-23.99%. We sell used cars in as is condition. We do try to do our due diligence and check the vehicles out as best we can, but at the same time we cannot predict what will happen in the future. We do provide 60 days of powertrain coverage and a 30 day 50/50 safety warranty. On the safety warranty the customer is required to purchase the parts and we do the labor for free. They also have the opportunity to test drive the vehicle and have it checked out by any mechanic of their choice. In this case Miss [redacted] did have the vehicle checked out by a mechanic from her church which she states in her complaint. We do not offer AC warranty or repairs at no charge. We do offer a free recharging of the AC system. If for some reason it does not hold a charge any repairs needed would be at the purchaser's own expense. Miss [redacted] brought her vehicle back to us several times. She stated she had a mechanic look at it and said it needed rear struts. We informed she could buy the struts from us or get her own and we would put them on for her. She never purchased them but came back again stating the mechanic told her she needed a motor mount and a transmission mount. Even though that is not considered a safety issue we did tell her to purchase the parts and we would put them on for her at no charge which she did and we did install them. A month after she purchased the vehicle the battery died in it and she had it towed to us. Even though a dead battery is not a safety issue we did install a brand new battery for her at no charge at all. The vehicle is 12 years old and it is not uncommon for a vehicle that age to have some squeaks and rattles. We feel we have gone above the norm to make Miss [redacted] happy but to no avail. What we have done so far for her will be the extent of what we will be able to do to resolve this complaint. Please contact us if you need any other information.
