this part was not discontinued years ago only the number on the part this was a new part from allison transmissons just like the second one they both have the same number but on the box it has a new number if you google 32-1k2k-it explains the number difference the part was not defective it was not installed properly damaging the switch you never mentioned switch was bad or the cable your mechanic said bushings in the steering column shifter like I said before everything worked fine but the back up lights before I came to your shop

Well then, all I can do at this point is apologize, We are all only human and unfortunately we make mistakes all we can do is hopefully get a chance to correct our mistakes, I don't think we were given that opportunity on this job, but I have heard that you did receive a refund, but it still sounds like you are un happy. As I have found in life you just can't please some people no matter how hard you try, an apology, an explanation, a refund is still not enough. The bad word spreads like a virus, a good job which is 99.9% of what we do is rarely if ever complimented.

Review: Brought to Certified Car Care for gas leak. Was told it would be done same day. Came to pick car up and it was not completed after having it for 6 hours. Was given rental for the night at their expense. Rental company said insurance was not covered by garage ($30 for insurance to cover loss of revenue if car was in accident while being repaired). Came back second day to pick up car and drove it off property and it stalled in middle of street and would not start. This was at 2pm. Let garage know I had to be at an extremely important eye appointment at 4:30. Car still not working at 3:30 and discovered it needed an "air flow meter" and will have it ready in 30 minutes. Car still not ready at 4:15 with new part. Manager left for 60 minutes, no one around to make decision for another rental - missed appointment. Manager showed back up just before 5:30 and gave another rental at their expense. Had to pay another $30. Next day garage called said car was ready. Tried to pay for new part - car rental put a $400 hold on my credit card and said they would not release until garage paid for rental of two days. Paid garage under $1000 for work. Started car and huge amount of smoke came out of exhaust. Went back in and manager said it was normal after working on injectors and needs to "burn off.' A week later still smoking upon start up and car running poor and leaking again. Contacted manager and was told to bring it back in but would not give ride home (I did not want rental). Contacted sister garage in another city and they said to bring it in. Brought car to sister garage and kept it over night - left outside. Garage called and said they could not find leak (still leaking fuel) and said it needed tune-up and new hose. Smoke was due to it needing a valve job. Declined service. Went to pick-up car and was ambushed by both owners making excuses for first shop. Also said that when some work is done it causes other problems with car which is what I am experiencing. Went to car and found major damage to bumper. Went back in to report to owner. Owner came out and inspected and denied it happened while in their possession. Asked one more time of accepting responsibility for damage to bumper - owner denied again.Desired Settlement: Repair/payment of bumper damage that was done to car.

EXTORTION! We bent over backwards for this customer and was always Courteous and understanding of his needs, like we do for all our customers! Customer brought car in and said it was not running properly it had a fuel leak, and asked if we could repair it just good enough to sell it, the car had over 240,000 miles on it and was 28 years old, we diagnosed the vehicle and recommended a long list of repairs due to the age and miles, the customer again requested the minimum so he good get rid of it, we paid for a rental car and performed the minimum repairs so he good get rid of it and did not have funds to pay for more repairs, in fact he DID NOT PAY HIS BILL his friend paid it with their credit card because he did not have the funds, as he was driving away the vehicle sputtered, we brought it back in and It had a different problem than previously repaired, We had to hold the car over and gave him a second day of car rental and repaired it at no cost of labor just parts .

He called our other shop a few days later telling the manager at this store complete untruths about his experiences to get more free work, complaining of more problems and had already left a semi warning type bad comment on YELP and threatened more if we did not do more free work on his vehicle, so our manager had our techs look at it in fear of more bad reviews, turns out it was something different than the first two times, a bad spark plug which he supplied ( he only wanted to replace 1 spark plug ) so we did and found a cracked intake boot due to all the rubber hoses and components are 28 years old and will break and crack just by hitting a pot hole, all things we had pointed out on his first visit, so he requested if we could just put a piece of tape on it rather than replace it so he could get rid of it, we did and did not charge him again! Upon leaving he claimed we damaged his bumper, we went out and looked at his bumper it was indeed damaged ( cracked rubber), when we examined it the crack was full of dirt and evidence it had happened a long time ago there was other damage that was in within 2" of it we asked if he was also claiming this damage he said no it was already there, I called the other shop and spoke with the tech who had worked on the vehicle and text ed him a pic of the bumper, he said he remembered the damaged bumper when it came in the first time, the customer said " so you saying you won't fix this our take responsibility?" I said no there is overwhelming evidence that it was there before you brought it to us, he said " okay you have to do what you have to do and so do I" another threat.

Review: on january 31 2014 I took my vehicle to cerified car care to have a neutral safety switch replaced ( I provided a new switch) a 20 minute job after a hour I was told that they could not get the new switch work (switch was a oem part) and said that the bushings in the steering column shifer were bad and that would fix the problem at a cost of 250.00 dollars for parts plus labor just under 500.00 total I declined there was not a thing wrong with the shifing before I took it to ther shop but now I have two neutral positions and wont go in to first gear ( reason for switch replacement no back up lights) I took my vehicle to a transmission only shop to get a second opinion was told switch was bad when switch was removed it was not installed properly notches in plastic bushing were destroyed purchased new switch and was installed in less than 15 mim by trans shop everything works fine now went back to certified and was given a few excuses and told me they will investigate returned on feb 19I was told they would reimburse me for the new switch and labor charge total 182.95 check would be mailed next day one week later feb 26 no check returned to the shop and was told he hadnt got to it yet and when he gets around to it he will send it so I said I was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com he said good luck geting your money now and hung up we were on the phone I took this owners word that he would make it right I believe two weeks are long enough to receive a refund this is no way to run a businessDesired Settlement: refund my money and I will remove the complaint
