CERTIFIED DOC PREP SERVICES, LP, E Imperial Hwy Ste CBrea, CA sent me a letter that looked all official and offered to consolidate my loans for a $processing fee After I called my school to find out more about them, I was told that they are not a necessary service I can accomplish the service that they provide simply by calling my loan processor Their letter does not provide a company name or address They refer to themselves as CDC1-866-763-is the phone number they provide and Corbin M is who I spoke to at 949-447-They are not affiliated with the Revdex.com, DEA or FTC I have contacted the FBI, FTC and DEA about them and hopefully something can be done about them

Received a letter from them giving a final notice to consolidate, so I calledOn the letter the company listed the website of https://www,nslds.ed.gov which made it appear they were associated with this site which is Federal Student LoansDuring the conversation, I was told for $(could be split up into payments) would be closing costs fees and a charge of $per month goes to the Select Student Services to do the recertification on an annual basis which if any documentation is wrong f I did this function, the company aka the federal government would drop me out of the IRB programThey ensured me in the IRB program I would have payments for years (since I am a substitute teacher), but the $does not apply to any repayment of a loanAfter the years in the IRB, all money on the loan will be droppedWanted my bank account info, I said no, I wanted to speak to my husband to make sure this is a good plan, but I was told if I do not commit "right now", this plan goes away and I could NOT reapply for 6-months since my SS would be tied up He placed me on hold one more time and I Googled the company and saw it on Ripoff ReportI had to tell him the bad news, I am going to have to take that chance and not giving credit card nor bank info to automatically deduct the closing cost feesFast talkers and promise one to be saving lots of money and the end result to not have to pay back the entire loan, Buyers BEWARE

[redacted]Do not do business with Certified DocPrep[redacted]

Certified DocPrep, a document processing service, contacted me in March of 2016. Representative claimed my loans can be consolidated and my interest can be a fixed rate. I agreed to the consolidation. Certified DocPrep had me sign into the student loan FSA ID site. I completed instructions given to me by the Certified DocPrep representative. Representative stated there would be a closing cost to process the consolidation. I agreed to pay the cost. The cost would consist of two payments of $449.50.

The first cost was deducted from my bank by Certified DocPrep of the amount of $449.50. The second and last deduction for the closing cost was to come the next month. A few weeks after the first cost was deducted I received a letter from Navient that my loan cannot be consolidated. Navient explained that no kind of consolidation can be done because my loans have already been consolidated.

I then contacted my bank to stop any more payments from Certified DocPrep who claimed they are consolidating my loans.

I stopped the second payment Certified DocPrep, knowing now that they misguided me into paying a closing cost for a loan already consolidated. Also, Certified DocPrep would have known my loan was already consolidated but continued to guide me into going through with the process.

Certified DocPrep is refusing to refund the first payment they took from my account for a false sense of service to which they consulted to and knowingly knew the state of my loan.

Certified DocPrep maybe doing this to many other students who already have loans that have been consolidated. Certified DocPrep maybe willingly providing misguided services to obtain a closing cost even when they know they cannot fulfill the entire service. Certified DocPrep maybe skimming loan holders into collecting a closing cost.

CERTIFIED DOC PREP SERVICES, LP, 1015 E Imperial Hwy Ste C8 Brea, CA 92821 sent me a letter that looked all official and offered to consolidate my loans for a $900 processing fee. After I called my school to find out more about them, I was told that they are not a necessary service. I can accomplish the service that they provide simply by calling my loan processor. Their letter does not provide a company name or address. They refer to themselves as CDC. 1-866-763-0722 is the phone number they provide and Corbin M is who I spoke to at 949-447-5999. They are not affiliated with the Revdex.com, DEA or FTC. I have contacted the FBI, FTC and DEA about them and hopefully something can be done about them.
