They lie and are horrible. Please be VERY careful if dealing with this company. I will be making a formal complaint and law suite against this ridiculous place that claims to be a professional Moving company.

Certified Moving Services / CMS-Movers Response • May 07, 2019

Good Day, Ms. Susan W

Hi Are You Today ? Hope All is Well...

This Is The Assist. Manager - Mr. Jr. - I'm Reading Over Your Complaint & It Doesn't Symbolize what We Actually Did Wrong Here ???

I Actually Moved You Myself ? ( You Quoted: That We Lied, Horrible, & Filing A Law Suit ) I'm Lost For Words Because im Not Sure What Is It You Trying To Sue For ?

When We Gave You Our Best In Providing you With Great Service's - - If You Would Like To E-mail Me to Discuss This Matter - I'm All For It...Mam.
( *** )

Or *** (Cell) Notice: I'm Willing To Help You With What Ever the Situation Is Mam - But, It All Starts With Good Communication & Good Understanding...Not To Mention, We've Offer You Free Packing Supplies with Our Service's & I Delivered Them To Your Resistance Free of Charge ?

But, I'm Not Sure What You Saw that Was Different from what We Provided You With - I Have Your Invoice Here in Front Of Me As I Write This & From What We Discussed when We 1st. Started Moving You - That If You Have Any Questions About Your Move, Feel Free To Let Me Know or The Office When They Call You after we Load Up - #1. You Was Concerned about How Long The Move Was Going To Take & #2. You Was Questioned about The 3rd. Mover Arriving to Help Us With The Load, But He Did Not Show ?

So...With That Said - Me As Management, #1. I Offered to Reduce your Rate Down #2. Give You a Special Discount of $75 off ! & #3. Had 2 More Movers to Help Us Unload on The Other Side to Speed Up Time & Process (Free of Charge)

From My Understanding: When We Got To The Unload Side to Start Unloading...Room had To Be Made for All Of Your Furniture to Fit in Your Moms House.

We Set Up Both Beds ( 1 King & 1 Queen Platform Bed ) You Also Mention to Leave A Few Things Outside of the House that Wasn't Important...& You Will Move Them Yourself ? It Also Was Metion To Me From The Secretary Right When We Was 15 Mins. From Being Done, That You Only Had a Certain Amount of Funds to Cover Your Move ? ( If I knew This In The Beginning, I Would Have Help You The Best Way I Can - But...You Waited Until We Got Finish with Everything - #1. Made A Statement to Me that You Was Not Paying your Bill, #2. Told Me To Get Out Of Your House, & #3. Slam the Door in My Face !!! ) I Assume Something was Wrong Here..So I Called The Office, Told Them What Was the Issue with the Lack Of Communication Between (Me & You) Work Out a Agreement to Still Help You after The Fact & Settled Your Bill To A Flat Rate Price that You Agreed On with The Office at That Time - You Insist that We Follow You To The ATM. To Make Payment on What All You Had to Pay Your Bill !

Your Full Total Was $715 for 9 Hrs. + Truck & Fuel Fee !

You Paid $525 for the 9 Hrs. From What All You Had, ( $400 Cash + $125 Security Deposit to Confrim ) I Agreed to That With The Office & Accepted That, And Move On...

I Do Apologize, That My 3rd. Mover Couldn't Arrive in The Beginning to Help Us on the Loading - But, Thru A Good Gesture, I Decided to Give You 2 More Professional Movers (A Total of 4 ) Too Help Us On the Unloading FREE OF CHARGE which it Only Took 3 Hrs. To Unload & 6 Hrs. To Load Which was a Total of 9 Hrs. For a 3 Bedroom House that Was Pack with Furniture & Some Packing Was Still Needed.

Notice: If This Was Brought to The Office Attention in the Beginning of the Move or When The Truck Was Fully Loaded To Accept a Flat Rate Offer...This Would Have Been Handled in a Different Way - Not Too Mention, When I Drop off your Packing Supplies a Few Days Before your Move...You Saw Me Coming To The Door & Slam the Door !!! I Knocked Twice before your Son Came To The Door, When I Just Saw You Outside Talking to The Neighbor ?

But Thru Good Faith & Having a Heart to Understand your Situation - I Still Reach Out To Help You Anyway !

Again, As I Close This Messege...I Want To Give You My Apologie for the Miscommunication that We ( May Have Had ) Concerning Your Bill - I Truly Believe that We Did All That We Could To Help You With Your Move...Have a Bless Day - Mr. Jr. - Assist. Manager under Contract Movers,PLC

Notice: We Do Have Pictures for Proof of Move, A Recorded Line Saying what all you Was going to Pay when We've Met With You at The ATM., & A Video Recording of All small loose item's that you Said to Leave & Just Focus on All the Big Stuff when we Left Your Home after Truck Was Fully Loaded.

Take Care Ms. S. W & I Hope We Can Resolved this Concern another Way ( But, If I'm Not Mistaken..Everything is Already Resolved ?? ) Have a Good Day !

Furniture and other possessions crammed into storage space inapproprately.
I contacted Contract Movers 03-02-2018 and spoke with Mr. L (owner)to ask about the services his company provides. After some conversation we agreed for one of her team to come over and see what items were to be moved on 03-03-2018. After he arrived late I showed the him all the furniture and items to be moved including the attic, utility closet and patio table. I told him I had a small unit and he suggested I get something bigger so I went the next size up to a 10x15 and he agreed that should suffice. He was also informed that a few pieces and boxes would be going to another location and he said there will be a $35.00 charge for that. I paid a deposit of $146.00 which included a 10% fee foe credit/debit cards. Moving date set for 03-06-2018 at 3:00pm. At 3:24pm after calling them I received a text from Mr. L indicting they were around the corner finishing and were coming to me next w/3 movers. I called again as it was getting close to th esecond agreed time and was told it would be between 5-6pm. They arrived at 651pm. 3rd guy left after 40 mins and the two were there until 11:06pm with out getting everything on the truck. I kept asking were they going to be able to finish and was assured that they had a plan and would get it done. Team leader said they would have to offload some things at storage the next day 03-07 then go back to the apartment for what was left. The teamleader had agreed to start the time when going to next stop but recanted and it wasn't written in on the agreement. The offload was complete for the first run and the other things were gotten from the apartment and taken back to the storage space. They were placed in the storage space, my daughter gave them the lock and it was placed on the door and the last stop was done and completed. I paid the 491.87 via credit card which he swiped on his square connected to his phone. I went to the storage the next day 03-08 to get my landlord's step ladder they took while moving my things and found iron patio furniture on top of my inside furniture, furniture and boxes laid against my 60 and 40 inch flat screen TV just 2 inches inside the storage space. Packing boxes had already began to collapse by heavy items being placed on top of them.I took pictures and a video, sent them to the company and also called and spoke with Ms. L about how I found my possessions. She stated that she would handle things and call me back. Right after that I received a text from Mr. L stated they did the best they could and I needed a bigger space, my type of furniture was hard to to handle, They took pictures too because they knew I going to do this etc. and have a good day. I cannot get into the space and safely move anything without an avalanche. I also showed this to the storage space managers who couldn't believe what they saw. I will have to get a team to come and unpack this storage space and repack it properly.

Desired Outcome

Refund to me the amount I paid for unpacking and repacking storage space.

Good Day & My Apoiligie for the Late Response...But, At The Same Time - Ms. as Also Reported my Company to (Consumer Alliance) as well - Just Got Finish with them Concerning this Compliant...I have Put a Couple offers on the Table, She refused them all - She Sunt a Fraud Reciept to Me about her Service's being Repack by Another Moving Company...Which is I an Consumer Alliance Doesn't Believe it's True, They close the File & I'm asking You All to do The Same !

This Lady have Got Into a Conflict with My Assit. Manager while Moving was in Process ( Rushing Them, Refused to Sign In on the Contact Invoice, Did not want the Time To Start until they go to the 3rd. / Extra Stop ) I Mean it was Just too Much to Deal with..

They Moved her Things into Storage, The Beast way that they Could with out Any Damages.
She Said, Her Laddder was Stolen which is Not True..It was Actually in the Storage - She Claim that Cause we Had Our Own work ladder on the Back of the Truck with Our Dollies,ETC.

We Stop her clock Multible of Times to Help her the Best Way That we Can, She still was not Satisfied - I Believe We ( My Company was a Target for her to Go After or Try To Get Over On Cause we was ??? Own ) Very Judgemental Here !

Someone have Repack her Storage from what I See on this Photo, It Was Not Us..I Have explain to Her ( Ms. ) That If She Can Provide Me with a Ligitamite Reciept with the Company Name & Info. To Verify, I Will give her a Refund of $175 for the Repacking of her Move & $25 for the False Claim of Her Ladder being Stolen...Which is Not Accurate Here - She is Very Hard to Reason With !

Notice: When Consumer Alliance Close her Case 48 Hrs. AGO, She Reach out To Me After the Fact with these 2 Photos (#1. Is Picture of Storage being Repack #2. Is Faurd Recipet ) The 3rd. Is Proof of Consumer Alliance Closing the File !

My Offers that Was On The Table was: #1. 2 Free Hours of Labor to Send 2 or 3 Movers out to Repack her Storage, #2. Was a Refund of $2000 with Proof/ Documention that Storage Was Repacked & Verified & #3. I Special Discount on Her Next Move if 2 Hrs. Free with a 3rd. Free Mover.

I Have been on Top Of This Claim, But just Took a Min. To Respond - My Apoiligie to the Revdex.com...

Please Look Over this real Carefully & Make a Decision & I'm Still Open for More Responses to this Matter, Mr. L ( Thank You ) If Have Any Questions about this Situation, I Can Be Reach at ***

Please Take a look at The Photos, Ive Ask Her for the Company Number to Verify & She Refused !

Customer Response • Apr 19, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

Response: I did not hire a professional company. The person I hired provided the receipt that I previously forwarded to you because that is what he gives when he performs side jobs. It is not a bogus receipt. It is for the amount I paid. I do not understand why such an issue is being made over a receipt when it is obvious that there was a dramatic difference in the way Contract Movers left the storage unit in disarray with no order whatsoever compared to how someone without a professional license chose to treat my property. This was done at a cost to me and I feel I should be reimbursed because it did not have to be this way. Also in the the words of the owner, which I have the text from him , he stated that I see nothing wrong with the way it is and my movers did the best they could. And he bided me good day. Why would I allow them to touch my possessions again. That sounded like a final statement. Contract Movers is making an issue of something that has nothing to do with how they disrespected me by tossing my property into the storage unit without regard. Yes, they did make more than one stop but as far as I know they were paid for that service because it was discussed on the front-end prior to them taking the job. The issue is not about who corrected their errors, the issue is that there was a need

I paid for a full service move and did not receive the services paid for
I paid to have this company move me from one home to another. I paid for a 26 foot truck but they came with a 20 foot truck. I had already rented a 20 foot uhaul truck for any left over items that they would not be able to fit into their truck. So after going back and forth with their office we decided to pack both my truck and theirs to complete the job. I was advised they would unpack both trucks and set up items as I paid for initially. Well during their move they were at my home from 11:08am to approximately 6:00pm. They then stated they were only doing a 8 hour job. I advised I was never informed of a time limit. They then advised me they couldn't get my French 4 door refrigerator out the kitchen after several attempts. They asked me how did the people whom delivered my refrigerator get it in the kitchen. I advised them how they brought it in. They attempted to move my refrigerator again dented it in several places alone with the walls. After they damage the refrigerator and walls they stated they would not be able to move it and that we needed to go ahead to the other bone due to the timeframe. We proceeded to my new home for them to tell me that they would not be able to unpack my truck because they would be over their time. They not didn't unpack but part of my truck they on setup 2 beds. They advised that they could not go into over time. I explained to them that I paid for them to take down pack up and unpack and set up. Unfortunately they said they had already went over time and that they could not be at my job for 10 to 16 hours. I went on and paid them the balance in good faith that they would come a finish what they didn't complete. Keep in mind I paid an extra day for my uhaul that they used because they brought a smaller truck than what I paid for. I also had to pay to finish getting my truck unpacked and to move my now damaged refrigerator.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to pay all fees I have incurred due to their lack of communication. These fees will include but not limited to the amount for the uhaul. They amount for me having to pay to have my truck unpacked. Having to pay to have items set up that they did not do. Also to replace my refrigerator and damages to walls to both homes

Certified Moving Services / CMS-Movers Response

This is The Owner / Co.Manager Speaking: Mr. L...Ok, At 1st. *** was Schedule to Move on Saterday the 7th. of October...It Was Requested that She Needed a 26" Foot Truck at That Time, Thursday 2 Days Before her Move...She Called my Office to Reschedule for Tuesday the 10th. of October Which we had Avaliable for her Move, But our 26" Foot Truck Wasn't Avaliable on that Day...So We Sunt our Next Big Size which was a 20" Truck - It Was Mention from my Office that If my Movers had to Make 2 Loads for her Move, I Would Cover that !

When we Arrived there at 11am.( She Didn't Sign In Till 11:38am. Stalling Time for Some Strange Reason ) - She 1st. Stated that Our Truck was too Small before we can Do a Walk Thru in Her Home to See for Ourselves...Not Too Mention that She Had her Own 20" Foot Truck as Well.

So, As the Managed & Owner - I Told her that We Can Get it all (Everything to Fit) on Both Truck's to Accumulate Alot of Time...She Agreed, So We Decided to Load Up Her Truck 1st. with her Garage Stuff 1st. Then a Few Things Out of the Home...Not to Mention, She was Not Ready to Be Moved - Things was Everywhere - But, ME & My Team Did Our Job at a Fast Pace & It Still Took us a Good Bid of Time to Load Up ! Also, When we 1st. Arrived there after 30 Mins. Right After she Sign In the Time at 11:38am. She Left and Did Not Come Back to the Home Till Almost 6pm. when I Told Her Daughter that the Refrgerator would not Fit thru the Gap between the Space of the Walls & The Kitchen Counter Top ( I Measured it With My Tape Measure ) So We, Me & 2 Of my Contractors had to wait for About 20 Mins. for Her To Arrived back at the Location to Discuss how and The BEST Way To Move the Refrigerator out...I Told Her that We had to Stop cause it would not Fit - It Would Be Really Tight and It Can Take a Risks on Getting Damaged if we Go Any Farther...She Made a Statment to us that She Did not want to Leave the Refrigerator with the People who is Getting ready to Move in / It Must Go, So She Gave us Permission to Move it Out the Best Way we Knew How & That's When the Small Dents Accurd After The Fact...She Even Directed us on the Best Way To Move It Out from off of How The Last Guys Move it In & It Still Wouldn't go Out - So I Told Her that We Can't Go No Father, It Will Cost some Major Damages to Her Refrigerator !!!

She Will Have To get The Same People who Move it In to Move it Back Out - Too Risky ! I've Tooken Pictures of the Refrigerator and The Walls just In Case if she Would Try to Blame it on Us and I See, She Just Did - Which Is Very Interesting Facts !

As For As the Walls Corncern, I Have Did A full Investagation on the Home when we 1st. Pullud up when We Did a Walk Thru on Previous Damages to Her Furninture and Walls that I Do Have Pictures to Prove, When we Loaded up her Truck 1st. It Was Bags & Boxes already on the Truck That I've Have Repack to Make Room for Her Furninture that Went In Her Truck, So When We Got There on the Other Side to Unload - We Unloaded and Set Up all The Furninture that Came off our Truck which was 2 Bedroom Sets including a King Canapy Post Bed, And A Full Size Bed in the Guest Room...We Have Ran Out Of Time, But I Offerred 2.5 More Hours to Get As Much as We Can off Her Truck, All That Was Left on Her Truck was the Boxes & Bags that They Loaded Up Thereselves when We Left at 9:47pm. - Which we was Done at 9:38pm. But, She Put 9:08pm. on the Time which I Have Proof of That as Well - It Was Not No Lack Of Communication, She Actually wanted us to Do More then What She Paid For Cause She Had No One To Help Her...And I Insists on Me & My Superviser Coming Back the Next Day ( That Evening ) to Set Up Her Other 2 Beds and Unload the Few Pieces that Was Left on the Truck with Our Dolly, She Claim she Had to Go the The Hospital for Surgery Then Called Back Days Later to Get Someone out there and We Wasn't Avaliable at That Time - So She Started to Disrepect Our Company in Some Bad Words - Cursing Me & My Secertary Out...Very Rude & Disrespectful Customer / Her & Her Daughter, Posting Bad Comments on our Facebook Page to Where I Had To Block it - Trying to Make our Company Look Really Bad...I Even Called her After the Fact and She Went Off on Me / So I Told Her to Have a Bless Day !

As For As The Walls Concern, The Walls was Already Pre Damage from the Previous Move & The Refrigerator & Walls Due To the Refrigerator being Moved was Upond her Requst for us To Move It...And As For As Her own U-Haul, She Was Already Prepared beofore we Got There with Our Truck, That was in Her Statment: Qoute I Already Rented a 20" Foot Truck for Any Left Over Items that They would not be Able to Fit into There Truck And She Did Agreed to Our Terms and Conditions On our Contract Qoute: That This Move Only Covers 3 Movers and 1 Full Pack Load on Our Truck which was the 20" Foot That We Sunt Out For The Flat Rate Price She Paid For to Cover Her Move, We Gave Her Some Free Boxes to Help Her With Her Packing by Using Our Service's as Well !

Notice: If Need Any Pictures to Proof this Incedint - I Do Have Them All !

I Have Also Inspected her Walls at the New Home as Well...Minor Scratches was Already There !

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Well as I stated in my original complaint in which Mr. L confirm some of what I stated. First I paid for a 26 ft truck which they brought a 20ft truck. The reason why they didn't start right away was due to the truck sz. Secondly they acted as if they were speaking with the owner when all along the owner was one of the guys helping with the move. We agreed that they would use the truck I rented let me repeat I rented. This agreement was made because they would have had to load their small truck take to my new home then come back to the home and reload again and take to my new home. I was helping them by agreeing so that it would be one trip. I paid an extra day for the uhaul just so they could use. I also advised them when they came late by the way also after Nw calling to confirm their arrival time times 3. Then I advised them that I had to go to do the closing of my new home and paperwork but my adult daughter would stay with them. There was never a time frame on my move. I choose not to pay hourly rate in which they offer but a flat rate for my move. They later tell me the job is only covers 8 hours. Again I didn't pay for hourly service. As for the damage they damaged walls, furniture, mattresses, and refrigerator. I advised them when I arrived and was asked how was the refrigerator moved in the home as to how they moved it in. They then proceeded to try it as I told them how it was moved in. I would never tell anyone to damage a refrigerator or someone else's property for any reason. The buyer whom purchased my home did a walk thru while they were moving and noted that the damages occurred during the move.these damages was also noted by the realtors from both companies. All who will attest to the damages was done by the moving company. If I need I will provide written statements to the fact. Mr. L even said he would fix the wall by sending some of his guys that wouldn't be a problem. He stated for the refrigerator to send him the serial and model information. If he felt he did nothing wrong why would he ask for the information. Here's some pictures of the damage.

Certified Moving Services / CMS-Movers Response

???? Ok, Now I Know this has to Stop Here & Now...Because you is Lying Thru Your Teeth Lady ( *** ) You is Saying some Things is True But Also, Some things is false #1. Your Walls at Old Home was Already Pre-Damage from Previous Move...#2. Your New Home had a Few Minor Scratches that I've Pointed Out to You Before my Movers Brought Anything Upstairs...& #3.The Corner Wall by Your Kitchen Area was Scratch (Paint Peeled Off on the Line Edges) Due to the Stainless Steel Refrigerator being Moved AFTER I TOLD YOU IT WOULD NOT FIT CAUSE OF THE DOORS HAD TO BE REMOVED 1ST.) I Tried to take the Doors off,But the Screws was Stripped a Little - I Museured the Well from the Counter Top & It Was only a 1/2" of Making it and That's Base on a Certain Angle of Making it FIT...

I've Been it Business for Over 5 Yrs. But Have Over 16 Yrs. of Moving Experience here - It Was Too Risky & She Know it Was !

I Told Her to Call the Maintenance Guy who Brought it It, He Would have to Be the One To Move It Back Out !

( I Am Not Going To Let you sit here and Lie on Some Things that You Are Doing, Lady - You Have Some Nerve...)

I am Not Responsible for the Walls, Neither Your Front Door to Your Refrigerator...

But, I Can Tell what I Am Responsible for & This Is The Truth #1. Yes, We Did Leave some Furniture on your 20" Box U-Haul Truck Due Too OverLay on Time 1.5 Hrs. Pass Your 8 Hrs.Flat Rate Move Which I gave you a Flat Rate of $775 That only Covered 8 Hrs. with 3 Professional Movers including Myself as the 3rd. Mover.
( Only 20% of the Truck was Full, That Would have Tooken 3 Movers about 30 Mins. to Unload at Our Original Rate of $89 an Hr. ) That's $44.50...#2. Yes, 2 Bedrooms was Not Set Up + Your Washer & Dryer - That's Another 30 Mins. with 3 Movers @ $44.50, If 1 is Setting up washer & Dryer while Other 2 Is Setting up Bedrooms Together...& #3. Keeping Your 20" U- Haul Truck For Another Day which is True cause when I Reach Out to You the Next Day to Come Back with My Superviser to (Unload Everything that Was Left & Provide the Set-Ups) You Said You Had to Go to the Doctors Office...Then You Wait Tell a Few Days Later and Called Us Back to Come Out to Due the Set-Ups on what Was Needed / And At That Time we Was Busy with Moves around The City...When I Offered another Day, You Curse me Out and hung Up in My Face Lady > If You gone Talk about This & That To the Revdex.com, Tell the *** Truth about Everything - Not Some Some Things !!! Anyway, That's $39.95+Tax @ 0.7% On the Dollar = $44.25+Ins. @ $14.00 = a Total of $58.25 - Ruffley $60.00+ The $89 from Above = $147.25 That I So Called Owe You from Not Completeing Your Move...

But, With Good Faith from Me to You...I'll Offer you this 1 Time Deal of a Flat $200 for the Time And Labor to Touch Up the Walls ( Minor Scratches THAT WE DID NOT DO !) Probably won't Cause No More then Bout $18 On Paint & Supplies and $25 an Hr. for an Experience Painter Time to Get it Done...The Other $7 Would Be Fuel from 1 Neighborhood to Another (15Mins. Away) This Is My Only Offer - My 2nd. Offer to Be Exact !

My Opinion Here, I Believe this is Somewhat a Little Personal Here !

I Don't Think You wanted me To Come Back to Your Home to Unload & Set Up your Furniture when I Offered Too & When I Brought out Boxes a Few Days Before your Move, You Augur about the Time They Was Dropped off 1st Your Front Door of Your Previous Home which Didn't Make Any Sense + Another Argument about the 10% Processing Fee after your Card was Ran to Confrim your Move which I Gave That Back to You Also which Brought your Total for your Move Down To: $762.50 from $775 !

When You Called my Company about Moving, I Cleaearly Told You That I Would Help You by Offering you a Great Rate for Your Big a 26" Truck Move that Will Only Cover 8 Hrs. for 1 Full Load ( Discounted Rate of $775 instead of Being by the Hr. of $89 + with a $29 Truck Fee ! Which would have Put You at a Full Total from the Time of (11:38am. to 9:08pm.) = $874.50 To Be Exact - As far as the Truck Size, Yeah...I Was Suppose to Bring you a 26" Foot & Not a 20" But, When We Got There - You Did Spoke To My Secretary about That and We Was Going to Make 2 Loads if Needed - But, Since you has your Own 20" As Well as Puts which is a Total of 40" Feet Combined...We Agreed to Load Both Truck's to Only Make 1 Trip which is True, Now I'm willing to Help You with This Offer That's On the Table to Resalve This Issue - Its Up to You if you want To Take It and If So, I'll Refund it back to Your Card so I Can Have My Proof & You Too...You have My Number, Give me A Call !

I'm Not the Person who might seem to Think I Am, I Haven't made it Thru 5.5 Yrs. by Getting Over on People or Customers...I'm Here to Help All People !

And yes, We Did discuss about the Door on your Refrigerator -That was Out of Good Faith- Not Because it Was our Fault ( Another Lie ) You made a Statment that You Brought it from HHGreg...But They Went out of Business from What was Told to Me fomrom You...I Was only going to Get some Stainless Steel Cleaner to Wipe the Light Rub Marks off of the Door - that's all - Not Re place the Door ???

Notice: So I Reach Out to Help You & You Come Back to Bite me in my *** !

Like I Said Before, Have a Bless Day Mam !

My Offer Stands whenever You is Ready !
