We are writing in response to the complaint from Mr. [redacted] we received 11/18/2014 Ref ID [redacted].
When Certified Parts Corporation purchased certain assets of the [redacted]Power engine business in February of 2009, we did assume warranty responsibility and have...

continually honored that commitment. We continue to produce any and all parts that are financially viable or seek replacement solutions to keep engines running. Those efforts have included re-shoring the manufacturing of carburetors from oversees and production of various other items based on customer demand mostly in the USA. Certified Parts Corporation has honored [redacted]Power’s warranty obligation to keep the OEM customers content with their equipment.
With respect to Mr. [redacted], based on his description it seems he need various repairs/maintenance at a time when the warranty period had long expired. Based on the “H” warranty code, the engine had a 2-year warranty which would be expired for 5-years at this point. In the past, we have given consideration to customers that had provided extensive documented history of pervious problems. Since we have no such documentation and given the age of the machine, we regret  we cannot offer assistance in this matter.
Should there be more facts that we are not aware of, please lets us know. With this letter we are considering this matter closed.  Please confirm reciept of this email.

Review: Liquid Combustion Technology (LCT) states that Certified Parts Corporation is now responsible for the [redacted] motor company. Hence, LCT told me to file this complaint against your business, CPC, instead.

According to the bulletin on CPC's website:

Bovat: Hey...I just wanted to let you know we got it all fixed. Um...the reason I'm calling ya...uh...I wasn't happy with the compression sound. I was hearing compression leaking through the exhaust. OK? And that's power! And it wasn't running good other than... you know...and I'm not talking about the tire either...you know what I mean...

Bovat: So, what we did...I am very familiar with these 5 horse-powers...not that it's a Toro...it's a 5 horse [redacted] motor which they currently have quite a bit of problems when they get old. This is a 2007, *not* that it's old. OK?

[redacted]: Yeah.

Bovat: But what happens is the valve-stems...OK?...there's got to be a gap in them...for the compression stroke. What happens is that these five horses on the exhaust valve...[redacted]they didn't really gap them properly when they made them. So, when you get four, five, or six years, we got to go in there and grind the valve down so that the valve closes for a compression stroke.[redacted]

[redacted]: Um-hum.

Bovat: So, yours was one of the candidates because of just the way it idles and the way it died on idle. So, basically we did a valve-job, we took it apart, you know what I mean, grind them down...the thing runs fantastic now. So, you should have a lot of power compared to what you did last year. OK? But we did that. We did the tune up. Put the valve-stem & the tire. The oil is changed. And all that. It's all set....OK....The total is $240.72...the valve-job...the engine...Did you notice last year that it was losing power?

[redacted]: Yes. I did notice it.

Bovat: And that's because of the valve. You should notice a big difference this year.Desired Settlement: Please issue a refund of $240.72 by check so that I am compensated for my hiring someone to repair the manufacturing defect with the valves.
