Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The response by CF Construction is not entirely trueWe have finally received a correct final bill and it is paid, but it took almost a year which was not at all our insurances faultIn fact, had this gone past a year our insurance would not have paid for it and we would have been stuck with the bill. I'm not sure what happened with CF Construction and why they told us they would fix the patio cover that they did damage to, but after going back and forth they apparently decided it was not worth their time, without bothering to communicate that to us. Our insurance needed final paperwork saying the job was complete, which CF Construction did not send them until recently, after sending us a bill. While I'm glad this situation is over, I would never recommend this company to anyone. They do not seem to run the business in an ethical way, and instead of owning up to their responsibility they try to place the blame on our insurance companyWe did talk with Farmers and got verification that CF Construction did not submit the proper paperwork until very recently, after we had to call and complain to them about CF Construction.Sincerely,*** ***

The situation has been resolved This was an insurance claim for the replacement of the roof We completed the roof in a timely manner We only do roofing and do not do metal patio covers The homeowners knew this, but we helped coordinate and submit for a supplemental claim
to replace the patio cover With much back and forth of information (pictures, measurements), the adjuster took months to process the claim as she was out of state, and with winterthe patio cover contractor does not work full time I was only coordinating this process The funds were sent to the homeowner and ultimately I explained they had the option to choose any patio cover contractor to do the work They chose to take the money We NEVER implied that we did the work or had the capacity to do that portion of the work I did help the process of submitting to the insurance company only We billed for the roofing that we completed and they did not understand that we could not bill them for any work pertaining to the patio cover After talking on the phone and one request, we sent them a billfor the same amountbut showing a charge and then a credit for the patio cover This seemed to satisfy them Many insurance claims take months and even years to completeWe are still working on claims that were processed before theirs
