Review: Hired to collect delinquent funds owed to M&M Trucking in April 2014, no communication since May 2014 - unable to contact now.

Contracted CF Hunter on April 8, 2014 to help collect a large balance owed to M&M Trucking by Wildwood Transport in the amount of $6,412.50. I signed an agreement with Damion Pierce. On April 23rd a request was made for $989.23 to cover part of the litigation expense was made by Stephanie Merrick - which I did using our company debit card. A couple of days later I was contacted regarding a problem about their bank accepting debit cards and could I send a check as soon as the funds were returned to our checking account. On April 29th the money was back in our account, I issued a company check and mailed it as requested to 5776 Lindero Canyon Rd., Westlake Village, CA the same day. I would call Damion Pierce weekly until the end of May. I then had to leave town and have been gone (I am a long haul truck driver) most of the time since. I have not been contacted by Damion since I left, he has my contact information at the office and my cell. I am now back in NH for a while and trying to contact him - his phone # in CA no longer works. The other office I found information about in Simi Valley, CA also has no working # that I can find. To my knowledge there has been no $ collected on our behalf, but I have no one to contact to find out. I can't confirm that the litigation ever started against Wildwood Transportation or [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like someone to contact me and fill me in on what has been or not done with this matter. Or I would like the $ I sent returned.

Review: CF Hunter was hired to collected a debt for me and stole around $4,000 out of the check and will not return my phone calls or emails.

CF Hunter was hired to collect a debt from a company called "the One Group" who short paid my small construction company around $30K. [redacted] with CF Hunter & Associates gat them to settle for $12k. CF Hunter & Associates received the check in the amount of $12k and was entitled to 18% per our signed contract. CF Hunter sent me a check in the amount of $6,120.75 which is $3,719.25 short. Damion Pierce keeps telling me there was an accounting error and the check will be sent. Now no one from CF Hunter will return my phone calls unless I call from a different phone number in which case they provide excuse after excuse.Desired Settlement: They owe me $3,719.20 and I want a refund for their services @ 18% per the signed contract in the amount of $2,160.00 for a grand total of $5,897.20.
