Hello,   11/1/17:   [redacted] reserved 3 interior guarantee staterooms on November 1 and made the deposit on each of the 3 reservations.  She made final payment 2 days later on 11/3/17                An interior guarantee...

stateroom is the least expensive category of staterooms.  It is NOT. recommended when reserving more than 1 room because the staterooms can be located anywhere on this ship.  The guarantee category offers a lower fare, but allows Royal Caribbean (not the travel agent or customer) to select thelocation of the stateroom.  For the savings in price one is giving up the right to select the stateroom location.   Royal Caribbean assigned 2 rooms on deck 8 and 1 room on deck 3.[redacted] (her traveling companion) contacted me.  I did not contact him.  He was upset that [redacted] booked the guarantee stateroom to save money and very upset that the roomswere not near each other.  I  informed him that the ship was sold out, but if anything came available, I would do my best to make the change.  He also told me that this is the first time that he had [redacted] handle booking a cruise and that he usually handles it.      On December 2, 2017.  [redacted] e-mails me 3 cruise certificates to be applied to her reservation.  We are 1 month past her final payment date and 19 days until their cruise  These certificates are usually obtained from complaining about an experience on a cruise ship.  My travel agency accepts vouchers at time of deposit or at final payment date.  The certificate clearly states that the certificate amount is applied toward final payment.  I was in contact with Royal Caribbean and was informed that I was correct and was under no obligation at this late date to accept this payment.  I have accepted certificates from any clients, but all are discussed at timeof booking or at time of final payment.  If [redacted] had told me about the certificates up front, I would either have to accept the certificates or give the certificates to Royal Caribbean to apply. Why did it take [redacted] 1 month to remember that she had these certificates?  Certain rules do have to be followed when booking travel.  [redacted] did not follow them.  I recommended that she contact Royal Caribbean and as them to extend the deadline on her certificates.  This is something between her and the cruise line.   I spent many hours servicing these 3 reservations which resulting in my have less time to work on others.   [redacted] is not accepting responsibility for her errors.  She also refused to speak to me on the phone.  If you need copies of the certificates or proof of her initial deposit on 11/1 and final payment on 11/3, I will be more than happy to send them to you. [redacted] last e-mail to me was a threatening one to ruin me by posting negative comments on the internet.   I have been in business for 14 years with a very loyal following and a perfectly clean record.
