The CGI baseball organization is a scam to take your money. The guy who runs the program, Mike Tinney is crazy and has no idea what he is doing. They have no real interest in your son unless they are really good so Rob Steinert can try and take credit for your ability. Do not take lessons from Steinert. He charges you to listen to all his stories and spends 5 minutes teaching. Stay away!

Review: I [redacted] went to CGI Braves Baseball Inc. to sign my son up to play for their 15 year old team. I was told I had to pay $3,200.00 in installments. I was told for that amount my son would receive spring training play 25 games have 12 practices and be in 4 tournaments. This is also what they advertise you would receive in their program. The team played 4 games so far and my son only played in 1 game. So after paying $2,020.00 I approached the coach after the game to ask why. The coach was not friendly and stated my conversation would go nowhere. I then sent an email to the manager about my concerns. His response was your son can no longer play on the team because I was not allowed to talk to the coach about playing time. I tried to work things out with this manager in everyway I know how but he said my son was off the team. So I asked for my money back and he stated no refunds. I said to him you have kick my son off a team because I asked why he was just sitting on the bench after I paid over $2,000 for him to play. He again stated no refunds so for $2,000 in payments my son played 1 game. This is not little league that charges $150.00 for a child to play in summer. This is a travel team that I paid $2,020 in payments for my son to play not sit while the other kids play and I am not allowed to ask the coach why. My son is also a good player that should have been playing he was a starting pitcher and short stop for his high school JV team. Their is no reason why my son should have sat out all these games and then have the manager not try to work things out. He just kick us off the team so he could keep our money. I have now been told by people that have dealt with them this is what CGI Braves does they add kids to teams just for the money and have them sit most of the games. But the kids that have been on the team for years will play every game and the ones that pay them more in pitching and hitting lessons will play every game.Desired Settlement: Full refund as my son only played 1 game when he was suppose to play 25 games with 4 practices and 4 tournaments. We paid them $2,020 for absolutely nothing except 1 game. I cannot see how they can expect to keep someones money when only one game was played.
