The customer wanted a refund back to May vs May 15thI don't control the refund process the regional service team in Lincoln, NE doesMr*** never contacted us until June 15th to say that he wanted his
policy's cancelledOur service departments (not my offices) rules are they will only backdate days without documented proof i.ean email sent, letter, fax or even a phone log! I asked Mr*** for any of this and he could not provide it at which time he got frustrated with me!! I told him that this is last thing that I wanted to be dealing with (I'd rather service just refunded him the $and be done with it) but it is their rule that they stand byOtherwise anyone could call in and say, "I wanted to cancel that policy months ago"! there has to be rules in place...he didn't get that this was company rules not mine...yet, I'm the bad guy!
Nevertheless, I was able to go up the chain after countless phone calls and emails to get him his refunds (of less than $100) back to May 2ndEven though he could not provide ANY documentation!

We contacted the agency to cancel our policies in April, before the other policy was to take affect on the 2nd of May, which is when we requested it to be cancelledI am not aware that I need to document my conversations with my insurance agent in order to get them to accept responsibilityI can prove with cell phone records that I called his office in late April, but what does that prove other than I called themThis is ridiculous that I need to prove to them that I was cancelling on that April dateI did receive refunds for the auto insurance that was to be cancelled on the 2nd of May, but we have received nothing for the home owners insuranceI am not persecuting him or his agency, I only want what is fair as his personnel dropped the ball on this not meI don't want and didn't want this to turn into a *** contestBut believe me I will not recommend his agency to anyone I knowTo show the lack of communication within his office, I was originally signed by Marty *** and when we called the office to speak with him, we were informed that he no longer worked there and he went to another suburb and opened his own agencyI should have been contact either by Chad, one of his staff or Marty to inform me that the agent we singed with wasn't even in that office any longerI understand where Chad is coming from on the "anyone could cancel and stiff the company for money", but that is not the case here at allI called, spoke with one of his minions and didn't hear anything else until I got a letter stating that our insurance was going to be cancelled due to non-paymentWell it was supposed to be cancelled, that is when I called back again and mentioned that it was supposed to be cancelled on the 2ndFunny I didn't have to provide documentation when I called back after the cancellation letter cameHmmmm

I hope this gives you an indication of what type of respect or lack thereof Mr*** has for people who are trying to help himOnce again, it's NOT my policy...it is corporate policy!!!! if it was up to me I'd give him the $just to be done with itBtw, Why NOT send me phone records that I requested so I have/had SOMETHING/ANYTHING to show the back office? Almost leads me to believe he DIDN'T call and remembered when one of my "minions" reminded him his payment was dueMy employees are not "minions" rather they are VERY VERY good at what they do and quite responsible otherwise they would not be employed by my agency...(Which is in the top 10% of all agencies in the nation mind you)
Also, Marty was a corporate employee interning in my office for a short period of time (they send future agents to HIGH PERFORMING/WELL RUN AGENCIES to learnWe do not and will NEVER be responsible for letting Mr*** or anyone else where a corporate employee goes...if Marty wanted to let Mr*** know that was his call, not mine! He probably didn't want to let Mr*** know...for some reason
Lastly, we have never had a situation like this BUT if I were to receive a referral and they mentioned Mr***'s name it MIGHT be the first time I possibly turn them away...that's the taste Mr*** has left in my mouth

I don't want this to turn into what it has become, and yes Chad is correct, I have no respect for him, his agency or anyone associated with that agency or himHere is the phone record that he is insisting onthis is the call that cancelled the insuranceSorry I didn't keep better notes on this, but I wasn't aware that it would become the debacle that is has become

He can too his own horn about how wonderful and top performing his agency and people are, but I see and have seen no evidence of that from my experienceHe wont have to worry about any referrals as they wont be coming from meI can see by his last response that he is frustrated as witnessed by the capital lettersNow he know how I and my family have felt in dealing with him and his agencyThis is very plain and simpleI called to cancel all my insurance with his agency, that included auto and homeI called on the 20th of April and did soI never heard anything from him or his agency until I received a letter stating that my insurance for my autos were going to be cancelled as we had not paid our premium, this was on June 13th and 15th which prompted another call to his agency
