Chad's Storm Team Reviews (7)

They are very quick to ask for the money. We gave them 1/2 the money to start our house. We were getting a new roof and new siding and replacing back porch. In March when he got the first check, he said they'll start and be finished no later than June... well it came and went. Then after a few phone calls and him telling us every week, that they'll start the following week. They finally had the dumpster delivered on August 5th. Then as the roof was getting done, he didn't replace the skylights as we requested originally. I had to remind him. They had to order them and put them in at a later date. Then 7 weeks later they were finally 99% done... Chad called and said he wanted the final check. We said to finish the job first, then we wanted peace of mind by having someone come out and inspect it. He was very demanding on getting his money before he finished so he could pay his guys. My wife was home the last day they were finishing up and he said he wanted the check. She doesn't like confrontation so she gave the check to him. When I got home. It looked like they rushed to get it done. Nails were bent on the fascia. Not all the caulking was done. Etc.
Very poor with customer service. And really shouldn't be a General Contractor. He makes the home owners not feel at ease with the work they do.

Thank you for your assistance, the business owner finished the work this past friday. When he called me  today He stated he only just received your letter  today and why did I file since he (coincidentally) already did the work. When he called he was unprofessional rude and yelled over at the phone at me about how he completed the work and how I still owe him money for additional work. I explained to him that I wanted a detailed invoice sent to me and that I would deduct any expense that I incurred as the result of his unprofessional work. This man was irate and insisted on texting me his final bill for the non insurance claim work he did for me. I insisted with him that a text would not suffice and that I wanted a written bill, he got the point of being so rude I hung up  on him. He called back and was no longer speaking rationally, I advised him via text that he is not to come to my property at all or I would call the police for defiant trespass.  I also told him he is free to contest the letter regarding the compiling I filed.

Review: It is stated in the contract that after the completion of the new siding and shingles on our home, ALL remodel trash/debris would be removed from our property. We had this done 2 years ago and there is still a very large pallet in our yard with different leftover materials from the remodel. My fiance' and I have both spoken with the company and left numerous messages, asking them to come remove this from our yard. It is 2 years later and this has still not happened. At this point they are not returning our calls and the yard has been destroyed from the large pallet left there. My children have been hurt when playing out in the yard and 2 tires have been damaged on our vehicles from the leftover nails in our yard. An entire box of nails was among the debris. We had to remove it so that our children weren't injured any further.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to honor the contract and remove all of the leftover materials and trash and pallet from our yard. I would expect they would repair our lawn, but I am not hopeful for that as they have not even returned our calls.

Review: Job to replace siding and roof has not been completed since June 2014. They fell short by 4 pieces of siding and never came back to complete the job but continue to do numerous jobs in our neighbor hood. The owner had been contacted numerous times and stated he would complete the work that following week or on a specific date. After 9 no shows the owner was once again contacted and became rude with the homeowners. He never calls to state he will not show so then owner ends up waiting all day and wasting a day off of work. The owner Chad stated that he didn't want to order a whole box of siding (special color) for just a few pieces but would complete the job by August 2014, as of today the job is not complete and he has been paid.. Owner has a criminal record for Criminal Attempt - Theft By Decep-False Impression in [redacted] County and currently on probation. His business practice is not forthcoming and is dishonest and the legal status of his employees is questionable.Desired Settlement: we are looking for the siding work to be completed.

Review: This company has gone door to door in our neighborhood stating that we had hail damage from previous storms and doing free inspections. They submit information to our homeowner's insurance agency to make a claim against storm damage. We have not had significant hail in our area in the last many years, and they have come in to this neighborhood where people have older homes. What has happened is that many people are submitting claims for "damages" which amount to normal wear on our homes. I have not had them do work here, but there are a number of homes in our area signing on with them. What it amounts to is a form of fraud against our insurance companies, because people are making home improvements on older roofs and siding and blaming it on "hail damage." I am concerned that are rates will go up since this company is soliciting business in this area. I checked with our township and they did not have the legal permits to solicit in our area. We have many local contractors in the [redacted], PA area, and none of them have advertised about hail damage from several years ago.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is that this company be investigated and that their doing work in this area be stopped. I desire that an investigation be done to determine whether this is insurance fraud.

Review: Chad's Storm Team installed a roof on my home in July 24th of 2013. On October 14th of 2013, my husband noticed that there was water damage to the drywall on the kitchen ceiling. The drywall was damp and starting to sag. On October 15th I spoke with Chad [redacted] about the leak. On Friday October 18th, he came to my home and looked at the ceiling in the kitchen and went outside to discuss the repair to the roof. He advised that he would cover the cost of the drywall repair in the kitchen, and would send someone out the following week to replace/ repair the flashing along the joint between the roofline and siding above the garage. After myself and my husband leaving several unreturned messages with him, I was able to speak wtih him on November 8th when he said someone would be able to stop at my house that afternoon. No one showed up and Chad did not answer my call that afternoon. My husband spoke with him on November 18th and he said he would need to check his schedule and would call back with a date when he could come out to make the repair. He has not returned any of our calls since then.

No one has been back to my house to fix or look at the roof. It has now been over 1 month since this leak was found and Chad becane aware of it. It has rained several times since we found the leak. I am concerned of the ongoing moisture exposure of the plywood and insulation and additional problems of weaking of the plywood and mold problems; as well as, additional damage to the drywall in my kitchen.Desired Settlement: I would like the leak in my roof repaired. I would like the flashing and shingles along this joint replaced. Additionally, I would like the drywall in my kitchen ceiling replaced. If this does not fix the leak, I would like to have additional repairs made to have the leak fixed.

If he does not make this repair by December 1, I would like to hire another company to fix the roof/ drywall, and then have Chads Storm Team reimburse me for the cost of the repairs.

Review: I was refered to Chad's Storm Team by a friend, he fixed some houses in her neighborhood. I contacted Chad sometime in June and let him know that I needed repairs done if he could do an estimate. Chad came out and did the estimate for me and was able to get another check from the insurance company. I received the check from the insurance company back in July on 2014, it is now November and all he has done is order some of the material for the house. He still has not come and fixed my house.Desired Settlement: I would just like my house fixed, that is it.
