Review: On October 2012 [redacted] advertised an impressive, full-page ad in CoinWorld magazine (a professional magazine for numismatists), in which he advertised his services as "strong buyers" of coins. I had a huge collection of hundreds of coins, bullions and notes which I wanted to sell so I contacted him via email and over the phone, provided details about my collection, and [redacted] urged me to send him my collection, promising a quick payment. On December 3, 2012 I sent him my whole collection of coins and notes - a huge collection that I amassed through many years. It took up 2 large boxes and cost $321 just to send the whole collection to him. Once he received the collection I talked to [redacted]. He acknowledged my estimate of the collection - current retail value of at least $10,000, but book value, and if sold to the right people, the value could be double that ($20,000). He said that he has a buyer who is willing to give me $7,000 on the spot, but mentioned that my collection worth much more than this and it will be like "giving that away". We agreed to give him a few weeks to sell the collection himself, in order to get the most return. Since that point I've been chasing [redacted] trying to get an update about the status of selling my collection. He was very hard to reach and very slow to responds to my emails and phone calls, stating health issues, weak economic situation and other excuses. I told him several times, via emails, voice mails and directly speaking with him over the phone, that I need my money urgently and willing to settle for the $7,000 he promised earlier. [redacted] persuaded me to wait just a little longer, to let him do his job and sell the collection and realize its true worth. Several MONTHS went by like that, with me and my wife calling and emailing [redacted], and him avoiding us or promising vaguely to send us our money. In June 2013, after we expressed out anger and frustration, [redacted] PROMISED to send us all our money by July [redacted]. When we did not receive anything, we emailed and called [redacted] again, and this time "the gloves came off" and he showed us his true nature: [redacted] told my wife that he no longer have our coins and notes, but that he does not have any money for us. He blamed some "personal and marriage issues" that he has, and because of that he can not afford to pay us. He said he might call us in the future, if he will have anything for us, but said that basically there is nothing he can give us. He also said he is not willing to send us our coins and notes back (probably because he already sold them) and finally told my wife "I have nothing for you, good luck trying to get anything from me". I have copies of everything: a list of coins (along with their NGC or PCGS certification numbers), [redacted]'s ad in CoinWorld, the UPS receipt from sending him the boxes with the coins, and all our email correspondence.Desired Settlement: I would like to either get paid for the collection I sent [redacted], or get my collection back. The collection consisted of hundreds of coins, silver bullions and notes, many of them certified by NGC and PCGS and worth hundreds of dollars each. In total, the collection was valued (even by [redacted] himself!!) at an optimistic value of $20,000, and realistic market value of between $10,000 to $15,000 easily
