Pertaining to the complaint listed above.Mr*** contracted with our inspector for $27,for interior and exterior waterproofing on his 194' basement on June 11, 2015. OnJune 16, Mr*** cancelled his contract as he has every right to do. We asked to meet with him to finish the
cancellation process. When he became agitated, I decided to stop out myself. He answered the door on June 19, 2015, saw our inspector and myself and told us to leave the property.On June 30, 2015, within business days of the cancellation of Mr***' contract, a return deposit check for $2,was sent via U.SPostal mail.On July 20, we received a mailing from the State of Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions stating that Mr*** had not received his check. I reached out via phone to Mr*** as we had already sent the check. I left a voicemail with Mr*** that dated the check and asked that he confirm that he did not get the check by the current date and I would stop the check we sent to send out a new one. I did not receive a call back that date.On July 21, we received the original check in the unopened envelope from the U.SPostal Service with a label "Return to sender, not deliverable as addressed, unable to forward". I immediately called Mr*** and stated we got the check back and asked, via his voicemail, how he would like to proceedAgain, I did not receive a return phone call.Later in the day on July 21, Mr*** visited our office. He demanded his check. I handed it to him and asked that he sign for it, stating the check was received. He swore several times in the company of the child he brought into the office. I tried showing him not only the envelope with the Post Office's label, but the file we kept showing our intents. He continued to berate me.Mr*** has his $2,deposit back and I would like this complaint to be closed

First I would like to state that this is an extremely unique
situationWhen we offered to pay for someone to address a potential buyers
concern, we felt that it was going to help our customer sell their homeWe
have no obligation to do thisThere were no concerns with our work for the
past
years.Everdry Waterproofing had an agreement with *** ***
and *** ***In the agreement it stated that Everdry would not provide
for any cost overruns associated with new workUpon commencing any work we
offer our clients a closed contract with a guaranteed priceThe agreed to
price was $6,410.00, I feel we shouldn’t be responsible for any extra amountI
feel the real issue is with the contractor who changed their priceHowever if
they can provide new paperwork stating $6,is the final price I will
reimburse itThank you for your help with thisI would also like someone from

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]First off, NEVER NEVER NEVER did anyone from Everdry tell me that they needed to send out a sales guy to "finish the cancellation process"What a bunch of garbage!!! Did the manager actually put that down in his rebutal on this site? WHAT A LIAR!!! LIAR LIAR LIAR!! The manager came out to do the complete opposite! His office even said so!!!...I'll get back to that in a second.My initial complaint was submitted prior to the Everdry manager calling meFirst off, even though the manager says I didn't call him back, I MOST CERTAINLY DID! In fact, I called him back ON THE SAME DAY THAT HE LEFT HIS VOICEMAIL MESSAGE!! I EVEN LEFT A REPLY MESSAGE WITH HIM!!! I stated that I had not received a check and that I didn't understand why he wouldn't simply credit our credit card back since that is how we initially paid our depositHis return voicemail message the next day, July 21, did not address this matter at allI drove over to pick up the check within a couple hours of getting the second voicemail stating the check was in his officeWhen I arrived, I calmly stated to the receptionist that I was there to pick up a checkI thought I could just pick up my check and walk outInstead, the receptionist got the managerHe came over and wanted to shake my handI recognized him immediately as the sales guy that came out to my house a couple days after I cancelled my contract...not to "finish the cancellation process"....oh no no no! That is NOT why he came to my house that day. The day after I deliverd my cancellation notice, Everdry told me that THEY HAD SPENT MY DEPOSIT ALREADY on product for the job and I was "stuck" in my contractI firmly stated that, if true, that was their fault and the WI State law says I can cancel within business daysEverdry even gave me the cancellation notice at the time of signing the contract!! When I cancelled, they said that they needed to re-send out sales guys to come out to figure out a plan on how to proceed with the contract since money was spent! So yes, when the manager came to my home with another sales guy, I walked outside not knowing he was the manger, told him to go away and credit my credit card, and I walked right back inside! And why? Because I knew that they were just there to close a deal and I was protected by WI State Law! Needless to say, when I came to pick up my check and recognized the sales guy/deal closer as ALSO the manager (good grief!) I refused to shake his handIt was then that he stated that he didn't understand my animosity to shake his handHe felt insulted and told me that he was "being professional" This company is anything but professional! So yeah, you're *** right! That's when the swearing began. When I confronted him on his shady sales tactics in trying to convince me I was bound to my contract, and that I couldn't get my deposit back, this manager only replied the same way he replied on this website...That is, by simply attacking me instead by calling me out for swearing in front of my sonHe did not have an answer for his shady and very illegal sales tactics that he preaches to his staff...and that he directly participates in himself, by coming out to customers homes after they've cancelled their contractThe last question I asked the manager before walking away was why he couldn't simply refund our credit card that we used to pay the initial depositThis time, I did get a replyHe told me that he simply didn't know that we had paid our deposit with a credit cardWHAT GARBAGE!!! I would've felt comfortable receiving my refund and closing this complaintBut after meeting the manager face to face and not getting any answers to their incredibly inappropriate and illegal sales tactics, I want a response! And, based on the similar issues I've read on other review sites like AngiesList, those individuals deserve a response as well! Specifically, I want this manager to answer to the sales tactic of telling customers, who cancel within their day right to cancel, that their deposit money has already been spent on product*** *** *** ** *** *** told me they cannot do so! Now, without referencing my son, please answer!

Ms. [redacted] contracted with our inspector on June 30, 2015 to waterproof her 148' basement on the interior and exterior for $20,908.  We received a cancellation form via an email on July 9, 2015, dated July 5, 2015.  We sent a returned deposit check for $208.00 via U.S. Postal Service on...

July 16, 2015.  The check is numbered #[redacted].
