the clutch brake was good when he test drove it, if it was bad he wouldn’t have been able to get it in gear on our test driveI also reminded him that when he was here to inspect the truck I cycled both lift axles up and down for his inspection and there were no indications of any leaking airbagsI also personally test drove the truck and did not notice the tandems “dog-tracking” or “walking” that would indicate worn bushings. Before signing the purchase contract we negotiated a discounted price and I went through and explained line for line what each section meant including the line stating sold “AS DEALER WARRANTY”During our phone conversation on 3/25/17, I asked Chris to send me the work order from his mechanic for repairs that were done but he said he didn’t have one. I asked for his mechanic’s phone number to get more insight and Chris said he would have his mechanic call me but I never received a call. Sincerely, Matt ***
this situation has been attempted to be resolved but customer is not cooperating. In customer purchased a truck from our business. At the time of sale it was unknown that this truck was rebuilt in A prior branding was not printed on the title. This truck is not a
“salvage” vehicle as customer is claiming; salvage vehicles cannot be operated on the highway until going through inspection after the rebuilding process, which this truck did. The truck has a clear title with a prior rebuilt branding. The prior branding was omitted by the Illinois DMV in 2004. This omission was carried over until now. This was a DMV error & I have documentation that was mailed to me from the Illinois DMV stating that they inadvertently made this error.Even though we were not aware of a prior brand, we acted in good faith and offered to buy this truck back from our customer. Customer stated we would have to come to North Dakota to pick up the truck. Upon arriving at customer’s place of business; the truck was not there, after reaching them by phone they stated they were operating it in Colorado when originally they stated they never operated the truck over the last year and wanted their full purchase price refunded.Per our phone conversation that day, we told them we would need to inspect the truck and could then refund them their purchase price less any amount for wear & tear incurred over the last year. Customer was advised they would need to bring the truck to our place of business for inspection and refund Thank you,
