was sold an unsafe vehicle with no rear brake lights, turn signals, license plate lights, or reverse lightshave since had the vehicle back in their shop twice to get it repaired and still do not have all the lights functioning properly

We are not refunding any money to the customer as the vehicle is financed with another companyShe has signed a binding lease agreement with *** *** ***.We have diagnosed the vehicle and told the customer the alternator is a warranty item we also offered to take $of the final repair. There is nothing left to be said. After the last message from the customer not trusting our mechanics we will no longer offer service to *** *** and she will need to take her vehicle elsewhere

Hi, I am submitting my complaint because when I bought the vehicle I was not shown the vehicle or given a chance to drive the vehicle due to the salesman in the location in Waynesboro telling me that the Chambersburg Office was understaffed and could not get the vehicle to meHe kept asking me if I had the down payment for the vehicle because he knew that I needed a vehicle due to the fact of my me losing my previous vehicleThey did work with me with the down payment that I came up with however he filled out the paperwork with out me still checking the vehicle outI came up with shy of I started having issues with the vehicle and I had to pay dollars to have it on the machine because it showed a part that need replaced that is not covered under the warrantyI explained three different people what the salesman Paul did to me and that had I got to look at the vehicle I would not of chosen that vehicleI have another issue and I have to pay another dollars if

I have a warranty and they have to honor that and I don't care if they did say the alternator! There is much more wrong! And you want me to pay 65 each time I come back that is bull crap! It is funny how the salesman was terminated not to long after I was sold the vehicle! They know it was wrong and they knew I didn't get to see the vehicle! It is still their car! If they don't honor the warranty they are going back on their word! So it is up to you the Revdex.com to decide! I don't want this vehicle it has no heat and I did what they told me! Had I known what was wrong I would not of gotten the vehicle! So I want every penny back that I paid and I will give the car back and nothing else said! Like I said I am not angry at the company just angry at the fact they are treating me this way! I know what happened and I stand by it! What they don't understand is I am the only income I don't have money to keep spending on a vehicle! So please believe when I say that salesman took advantage of me!

I am rejecting this response because:

Our salesman in Waynesboro is no longer with the company, so I cannot get his statement to how the transaction originally occurred.  My memory of the situation was the [redacted] was saving for the down payment on the only 4x4 SUV that we had to fit her budget.  She was not able or...

interested in a sedan, so this was the only option.  It cost money and time to transport vehicles to and from a location and my recollection was it took the customer more than 30 days to save the 660.00 (original asking down payment was 1,000, but was dropped to 700.00 to try and help the customer).  Without Paul's statement I cant speak as to what did or didn't occur at the time of delivery but we would never stop the customer from test driving the vehicle before purchase.  Even though the customer didn't even come up with the asking down payment we still provided a Warranty of 1 year or 16,000 miles at no cost to the customer.  The customer did bring the vehicle in for diagnosis and it was determined the alternator was going out, but this would be covered by the warranty company.  Customer was informed she would just need the deductible of 100.00 and that it should be completed soon or the battery could be ruined by the alternator.  The battery is not a warranty item.  The customer then said she didn't have money for this right now and left the office.  We will not be providing another vehicle as her loan is financed with another company and she has signed a binding lease agreement.

Review: My husband and I went to affordable auto in search of a vehicle that we could afford so that we could rebuild credit. We had a trade in worth $4000 that we used for our down payment. When we signed the paperwork at the dealership initally, the loan was to go thru a bank and was not to exceed our previously agreed upon budget. We told the salesman we simply could not afford anything over $ 200 per month. So they promised we would b able to afford it, and by the time the paperwork was done with the trade in/down payment, we were at $260. We said ok since it was going thru the bank. About a month later, weve already been in the new vehicle when the dealership calls us and says that the bank refused to work with us. So, they're solution to us was to do it like a buy here pay here deal with another finance company, which is affordable finance. Our guarantee at that point was that it would b no more than the bank was going to charge, it would b weekly payments and that we would b able to afford it. Well our payments a month doubled what we could afford and they were not willing to give our trade back, or work with us to get into a more affordable vehicle. Our vehicle was reprocessed today leaving us without transportation and out our trade in as well as the money we at least tried to pay on this vehicle. I believe that this is horrible business ethics as well as inhumane. I feel that this matter should have been resolved one way or another by working with us and all we did was get a run around and told that we needed to go to another dealership to try to sell our vehicle to break even for this horrible sale.Desired Settlement: I would like to see our money returned to us and the value of our trade in vehicle returnedto us which was $4000 plus some of the money we had to pay for a vehicle that we could not afford in the first place. And the dealership was well aware of what we could afford and what we could not.

Response:

**. [redacted] was approved through [redacted] Dealer Services on June 4, 2013. Our office was waiting on funding from [redacted] pending a final phone interview. During the phone interview between **. [redacted] and [redacted] it was mentioned by **. [redacted] he was contemplating bankruptcy. [redacted] Dealer Services then contacted our office stating they were no longer approving the loan due to their phone interview with **. [redacted].

Once the loan was no longer approved we contacted **. [redacted] who stated he still wanted vehicle. [redacted] approved the loan which consisted of a weekly payment of $89.23. Our dealership provides a warranty of 1 year or 16,000 miles with every vehicle at no cost to the customer. **. [redacted] declined this warranty and purchased another for $1,795.00 which he financed through [redacted] this changed his weekly payments from $75.00 to $89.23.

About two weeks ago **. [redacted] came to our office stating he couldn't afford the payments and asked what we could do. We informed him he needed to speak with [redacted] as they are the lienholder and we have no authority. There was no further contact with **. [redacted] after this date.

Any complaints regarding payment arrangements, cooperation or repossession needs to be directed to [redacted] at [redacted] as we hold no interest in the loan.
