Review: The Champion Chimney & Masonry Service, LLC failed to honor their estimated service delivery time (two weeks were estimated). The product was never installed. The customer service was uncooperative. Two scheduled service appointments were missing without prior or post notification. Chronological order of events:

7/11/2014 - estimate was performed; the completion time - approximately two weeks. Paid security deposit of $250.00

8/06/2011 - nobody contacted me after the estimate, so I made my first contact, left a voice message. Received a response email stating that the delivery is delayed until the end of August with a promise to supply me with the exact delivery day the following Monday, which never happened.

8/28/2014 - I received an email from customer service, stating that the chase cover is finished in fabrication and will be installed on 9/03/2014.

8/28/2014 - I responded to the email stating that I will be out for two weeks and pay them in full upon return.

9/02/2014 - Received an email from customer service, notifying me that the appointment has been rescheduled to 9/16/2014.

9/02/2014 - I responded the email, stating that they can proceed with installation without me and I will pay the remaining half upon return from vacations on 9/13/2014.

9/09/2014 - I received an answer from the customer service, stating that they rescheduled an appointment for 9/16/2014

9/12/2014 - I received am email from the customer service stating that they will contact me 9/15/2014 to confirm the appointment time, which never happened.

9/16/2014 - Nobody appeared for the appointment. No phone calls, no emails.

9/16/2014 - I contacted customer service requesting order cancellation and deposit refund.

9/17/2014 - Received an email from customer service, stating that the order cannot be cancelled. And the new appointment date of 9/22/2014.

9/22/2014 - Nobody appeared for the appointment. No phone calls, no emails.

9/22/2014 - I sent email to the customer service demanding order cancellation and money back. Received an automatic delivery failure notice, stating that such user (the customer service clerk's email) does not exist.

9/23/2014 - I sent another email to the company's main email address ([email protected]), stating that I am proceeding with the complaint to Revdex.com. No response received.Desired Settlement: I'd like the security deposit ($250) that I paid at the estimate time to be refunded.

Review: I,HIRED A CONTRACTOR "CHAMPION CHIMNEY & MASONRY SERVICE,LLC". ON 04-02-2014 THEY REQUIRED A 50% DEPOSIT FROM THE TOTAL COST OF $3,500. HALF NOW & BALANCE PAID IN FULL WHEN COMPLETED! FIRST THEY TOOK $1,875. FROM MY CREDIT CARD ON 04-05-2014! THEY CAME 10:45AM 06-03-2014. THE WORK WAS TO BUILD A WALL IN 15" DRIVEWAY & RESURFACE SIDEWALK & WALK WAY'S ALONG THE HOUSE. THE WORK WAS TO BE STARTED 06-03-14 & COMPLETED 06-04-14. TWO WORKERS SHOWED UP. 1 GUY WORKED 4 HOURS & THEY BOTH LEFT AT AROUND 4:30PM. DAY TWO ACCORDING TO YOUR CONTRACT THIS WAS A TWO DAY JOB! 1 GUY CAME 9:45AM & LEFT 4:PM ON A WEDNESDAY 06-04-2014. [redacted], THE WORKER KEPT TELLING ME TO CALL THEIR OFFICE & PAY THEM IN FULL BEFORE THE JOB WAS DONE {$1,625.]! HE CONVINCED ME THAT HE COULD BE TRUSTED & HE WOULD COME MONDAY 06-09-2014! JIM CAME MONDAY 9:45AM & REMOVED ALL THE SUPPLIES & CLEANED UP THE LARGE PILE OF DIRT & ROCK'S AND LEFT 4PM BEFORE HE LEFT JIM, GAVE ME HIS WORD HE WOULD FINISH THE JOB! I, TOLD THEM I WOULD PAY FOR THE WALL{$2,500.} WHEN THEY FINISHED IT BUT I WANTED MY REFUND OF $1,000. FOR THE WORK THEY NEVER DID! THEY SAID TO GIVE THEM THEIR TOOLS BACK & I SHOULD LOOK FOR A CHECK A WEEK OR SO TO GET MY REFUND! THEY TOOK $3,500. FOR THEIR INFERIOR WORK & TARTNESS, LACK OF COMMUTATION, NO RETURN CALL'S AND THE FACT THAT THEY SAID THE JOB WOULD BE COMPLETE ON 06-04-14, AND WAS STILL WORKING ON THE WALL 06-09-14. AT THE RATE THEY WHERE GOING IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN 2 WEEKS FROM 8AM UNTIL 5PM, 5 DAY'S A WEEK. THEYV ALSO MADE FALSE STATEMENTS REFERRING TO ME CHANGING PAINT COLOR OR ADJUSTMENT'S TO THE JOB. I WAS ASKED WHAT COLOR I WANTED BY MASON & I WOULD ALSO PAY IF HE COULD CUT THE EDGE OF THE CONNER TO MAKE IT ROUNDED ON CONCRETE! HE SAID HE WOULD! HE WOULD JUST AGREE WITH ME & DO WHATEVER HE WANTED! JUST LIKE NOW HE'S KEEPING $1,000. OF MINE FOR DOING NOTHING! I, HAVE PICTURE'S OF HIS WORK AS WELL AS A STATEMENT FROM THE NEW CONTRACTOR ON HIS WORK THAT HE HAS TO REPAIR!THIS COMPANY TOOK MONEY FOR A JOB THEY NEVER DID!Desired Settlement: REFUND OF $1,000. INFORM THE IRS & OTHER INSTITUTION OF THIS COMPANY POLICY ON FRAUD!!! TAKE TO COURT

Review: Do not use A Champion Chimney & Masonry Service, or Mason Fine the owner, for any projects for your home. The quality of their work is very poor. They were hired to replace our walkway with concrete and to resurface the front porch. The finished product was completely unsatisfactory and the walkway, driveway, and porch need to be remediated. The finish is uneven and pock-marked. The brush strokes are uneven and go in various directions. The slope of the walk is uneven. Where the walk abuts the porch they created a tripping hazard where none had existed before. We had requested that the concrete be tinted and this was not done. A concrete paint that was used to coat the porch was stretched to also cover the walkway. It was spread unevenly and light patches can be seen on a random basis along the entire walkway. The painting of the porch was sloppy with the paint not being spread evenly to all corners and around posts. In addition there are marks that look like something was dropped and removed leaving an imprint.They were also hired to hot fill asphalt gaps in our driveway and coat it with an acrylic sealer. When they finished there were numerous deep cracks in the driveway, several in excess of 1 inch deep. The sealer was not spread uniformly and evenly over the area. There were big gaps in coverage in corners and along the edges of the driveway. The sealer also spilled over onto the edges of the walkway. It was a very sloppy job!Unfortunately, because of the poor quality of work by Mason Fine and A Champion Chimney & Masonry Service, we do not believe they have the skills required to do the necessary remediation.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund of the amount paid. We have consulted with several other contractors and been told that the entire walkway must be removed and redone because of the manner in which the work was done. The required foundation for concrete work was not done. The slope of the walkway varies from one area to another creating the potential for water leaking into the basement and causing internal damage. We do not trust this company to remediate and want a refund.
