Last Saturday, we called Drain Master Plumbing & Drain Cleaning; to locate & repair a leak, originating from our 2nd-floor bathroom, and leaking onto our kitchen counter-top I'd expected that the leak we reported, would be repaired by adjusting or replacing the toilet-flange & replacing the wax-seal on the toilet That's exactly what the plumber initially did; but, the leak remained
Further examination, revealed a cracked cast-iron drain-pipe ~ a problem he was not equipped to permanently repair at that time He could have made very costly, temporary repairs; but didn't want to do charge for work that would have to be permanently replaced within a day or two He completely explained the problem he'd found, and the repairs & hopefully minor reconstruction work that would be necessary to fix it; and made an appointment to return on Monday, with the tools & parts necessary to complete the repair
(footnote: It was a very busy day for this plumber ~ he had several other scheduled repair-calls, that he was already late for) We made an appointment for the repairs to be completed on Monday morning
On Monday, he arrived early, and made a thourough examination of the damaged pipe and decided on the best way to access it for the repairs He cut a minimally invasive ceiling-access hole; cut off a section of the damaged pipe, and replaced it with a PVC pipe; then replaced the toilet-flange & mounting-bolts; installed a new wax seal, and reset the toilet Unhappy with the water-flow to the toilet tank, he replaced the old valve, and supply-line; adjusted the float & handle assembly, and cleaned the tank interior
Only after all the work was completed to his own satisfaction, did he call for an inspection, and bill us for his parts & labor
The work was very well done The 1st-floor & 2nd-floor work-areas were left clean The amount of repairs necessary to close the ceiling-access hole, are minimal And, the total cost for the repairs & necessary-parts; was several hundred dollars less than I'd expected

New Years day and the owner showed upThe main sewer line to my septic system was plugged Another local Independent contractor refused to work for the next days when we couldn't flush toilets without back up in the basement Drain Master was here within a hour with excellent equipment and understood the problem Apparently the plugged location was difficult to locate He was persistent and didn't leave until the job was done for a reasonable priceVery professional

We had water in our basement after an all day rain We had a company come out who snaked the inner tile, but decided to get a second opinion because we were not impressed with their service We called Drain Master and *** came out and assessed our situation by examining the basement walls and drain He explained in detail how the water seeped into the basement and what our various options were to correct it He even walked around our property and offered advice about proper grading We were very impressed with *** and will not hesitate to use his services should the need arise
